As it seems unlikely that GW will ever release a kit for New Men or Gland hounds, I've been searching for fitting bits to kitbash a small retinue for Fabulous Bill myself. Unfortunately I'm not quite there yet.

My first instinct was to check Necromunda kits and there are some ideas that come to mind:

- Goliath Stimmer body with a head and weapon swap for a nice melee brute
- Escher Death Maiden with head swap + Eldar Corsair Shuriken pistol and knife for Igori

Other than that, nothing came to mind. Do you have any suggestions or pictures of existing kitbashes?

Gland Hounds aren't that big. The Goliath bodies would not work at all as they are designed to be stealthy hunters that work like pack animals to take down a Marine. One on one a Marine can take them fairly easily. They even say it themselves in the second book, they're hunters- not soldiers.

With that in mind you want to look to Assassin-esq. minis. I always pictured them (particularly the female ones) as looking something like the Khador Kayazy Eliminators from Warmachine, only with 40k equipment.

The others, like the twins- are described as having roughly the same equipment as guardsmen (but autoguns) and rebreathers. Good inspiration for what they look like would be art like the Drookian Fen Guard or the Savlar Chem Dogs

Maybe get the BSF Traitor Guard and give them some new rebreather heads from somewhere and I reckon you're on to a good portrayal.

I see, so they are leaning more towards Cultists/Renegades in general appearance.

Thanks for the heads-up, thank makes things a lot easier.

From what I recall, it is the twins that get the most description about them, describing them in combat gear with rebreathers.

“The Twins padded silently ahead of their fellows. Fabius was one of the few, besides their gene-kin, who could tell Maysha and Mayshana apart without looking at codes tattooed on their cheeks. Both had the enhanced musculature common to his creations, but in them it was a result of breeding, rather than augmentation. The first of a new race, the progenitors of the New Man. There were others, who had come after. But the twin Gland-hounds were special, for they had been the first of their kind, and had exceeded all expectations.
They were taller than normal humans, but not quite so tall as a warrior of the Adeptus Astartes. Broad shouldered and narrow at the waist, they wore faded fatigues found on some industrial world, now long since an ash-blown ruin, and piecemeal armour, culled from the still-warm bodies of fallen foes. Bandoliers of ammunition crossed their chests, and scattered scraps of wargear hung from their combat harnesses, most of which still worked. Scattered among it all were the trophies – necklaces of teeth and finger bones, empty shell casings and heat-warped Imperial aquilas were all in evidence.
Both Twins wore industrial rebreathers and heavy goggles like the rest of their pack. The Gland-hounds’ thickened dermis was resistant to the chill and they could survive limited exposure to the vacuum, if necessary. In addition, the Twins carried battered, heavily modified autoguns, and a somewhat startling variety of blades, only a few of which were visible. Lights attached to the ends of their autoguns played across the crumbling wraithbone, illuminating the damage and dust in equal measure. Neither Twin displayed any sign that they understood or cared what they were looking at. Their faces were smooth. Unperturbed.”

And in their first appearance.
“The rattle of weapons caught his attention. They had come to a reinforced doorway, where several men and women stood on guard. They were clad in grimy fatigues and battered carapace chest-plates. Equipment belts and ammunition bandoliers completed the image of a rag-tag planetary militia. But these were no normal humans. The muscles in their arms and necks bulged with almost Astartes-like thickness, and there were series codes tattooed on their cheeks.”

I really wish GW would release the glandhounds as a unit. I love FB as a character and his story.

As I understood it the new men were different to the gland hounds only in that they had been seeded on lots of imperial worlds and therefore just looked like other imperial citizens but more buff as described above as the gland hounds are the original genetic source for the new men. So really I gues la you could use any IG unit that’s fairly generic.

Fabius doesn’t have an official uniform but I believe GW paint creations of bike units is black and red

Digging through the necromunda stuff would probably be the best bet.
