Part of a combined BFG and 9th Edition Narrative 40 K Campaign.

Campaign Story: Chaos needs to take over this ork held system because it is a way point to an Imperial Sector in the Dark Imperium with many worlds ripe for conquest and burning. One of the habitable worlds in this system (actually its a moon of a gas giant) is known to the orks as Morkheim and it is a former plague world, so Chaos would like to take it over. (They just fusion bombed the other ork world since it was just a worthless burning hot desert).

The Campaign So Far: After successfully fusion bombing the main ork world, the Dark Lord of Chaos (Yes that's his actual name. We play in the Grim Silliness of the Far Future) landed troops on Morkheim and took over the zombie population. So millions of zombies/pox walkers assailed the ork forts which guarded the entrance to Ork Town (Morkheim's sole ork settlement). But in battle after battle the superior orky techy-know wots out krumped the numerically superior chaos forces. Within a month's time, the chaos offensive had ground to a halt.

Meanwhile in space, Free Booter Captain Rot Ear and his fleet was making it nearly impossible for Chaos to land additional troops, severely limiting the types of heavy weaponry that could boost the Chaos Offensive.

After the ork warboss Decskull himself made planetfall (or moon fall as it were) he immediately rallied the orks and launched a massive counter offensive.

As Decskull's offensive slowly but surely pushed the massive hordes of pox walkers back into the fallen humie city, the Dark Lord decided to shift tactics.

The Dark Lord would lead his best troops into a raid on Ork Town itself. If the Dark Lord's forces could get over the chain linked fence, they could wreak havoc on the orks' fuel.

PL 25-30. Three objectives behind a chain linked fence. Whoever controls the most objective at end of 5 battle rounds wins. Nothing battle forged. Ork 9th edition codex. (Ancient Models). Chaos slightly dated rules. (But not as dated as the models!)

Traitor Guard advance from the ruins toward the fence.

Chaos Space Marines advance behind an intact building as another unit hangs back and peppers the orks with auto cannon fire.

As soon as the first Chaos Space Marine advances beyond the building, the Mek Guns open up!

The shoota boyz add their dakka to the fight, dropping spikey gitz left and right!

Chaos shooting dice bad. Orky shooting dice good! Chaos attrition test=EPIC Fail. Nearly entire surviving unit of chaos space marines and the Dark Lord himself runs away. This was turn two! The shells also blew up the building. (Why because its cool).

Seeing their leader flee, the remaining chaos forces fell back. Time for plan C!

As night fell, the brew houses were jam packed full of orks bragging about how much fun that battle was, and complaining that the stupid fence kept the boyz from krumpin da spikey gitz even worse.
