Hi! Long time 40k player and new to 30k. I’ve had lots of calth and prospero marines over the years and I recently added in a new starter box! I read on goonhammer that an ideal way to go would be to build 2 tact squads, a HB squad, fist/bolter termies, and a missle/lascannon squad. How would you do it? Im liking how this looks but I want to make sure im not about to make some incredibly stupid build choices.

Also how do you equip your spartan? Stock or add lascannons and a MM?

I am currently working on my 40K SM pile of shame and not touching the AoD box. Why? GW will release down the line legion-specific helmets and shoulder pads. So building my minis now maybe imprudent.

Once the cult militia book (antagonists of my Iron Hands) comes out I plan to do the following with the AoD content:

- 20 Tactical blob with chain bajonets.
- 10 Marines with missile launchers (frag missiles have Pinning).
- 10 Marines with volkite chargers.

Firstly, welcome.
Secondly, don't be overly worried about list building. There is a lot of forgiveness in running a Legion list as there are loads of options to choose from. The stuff you have listed is all fine but be careful not to fall into the trap of reading army list and meta-build articles. You should focus on building what you want and expanding into units that you like.
