I have the GW sheet "Always Fights First/Last" that explains ...
*cough* confuses *cough*
... this with the SM & Necrons. I'd like to have a chat with the writer than coined 2 & 3 for 'rare rules' that do NOT clarify.

It's been a bit since I've had to deal with it, but just verifying:
A SM Captain charges wyches (Cult of Strife). An archon with Ancient Evil uses Heroic Intervention to get into the fight (SM player sputters, 'I thought he was 3.1 inches away!').
The Cap't is the only SM charger and fighter in h2h for the SM player's turn.
a. Does he still swing first, as the player-whose-turn-is-taking-place gets to nominate a unit to Swing First, even though the Ancient Evil has been put upon him?
Yes or no?

b. The SM player charges another unit somewhere else this same turn, termies into a raider. In this second case, the Cap't is screwed, yes?
Yay or Nay?

b.2. That is, with Ancient Evil upon him, the SM player would have to choose the 2nd unit (termies) that had charged, as it would be the one eligible to fight, given Cult of Strife wyches and/or Ancient Evil?
Yes or No?

I assume Ancient Evil is a "fights last" ability from the context. If so, then the charging captain is under the effects of both a fights first and a fights last, which negate each other, so he fights normally (regardless of how many fights first and fights last effects target him)

since the opponant, not the active player, picks the first unit to activate in a normal (not fights first/last) situation, the archon will be chosen to fight before the captain, unless there are other units to pick from

Indeed, posting the rules would help

Assuming fights last, fights firsts means normal meaning the player who's turn it isn't gets to pick their first "fights normal" unit.

For the second example given here is the order in which the fight will commence. If the Druhkari player is smart.

fight first units:
1. Terminators
2. Wyches w/ COS

Normal:
1. Archon
2. Captain if still alive.
3. Raider if still alive.

I do not know any of these abilaties. And the narrative comments does not help.

I have no problem with fight first fight last. I quite like the subgame.
