Hey everyone I was building a list recently and finally added in a volkite relic contemptor to try out. I was reading the rule and just have trouble understanding the wording it says basically any hit roll of a 6 inflicts 1 mortal wound in addition to any normal damage. So do I still roll to wound with the hits of 6? Or is it only a mortal wound and I leave those dice alone. I.e I roll 2 dice a 6 and a 4 do I roll both dice when making a wound roll or just the dice which is a 4?

If it is phrased "in addition to" then the mortal wound is on top of any damage the actual shot inflicts. Work out damage and saves etc as normal, then apply 1 mortal wound per 6 rolled.

Volkites do mortals on a 6 to wound I thought.

The MW is in addition to the regular D2. So make saves for that, apply regular damage, then do a MW on top, OP.

Also, it’s 6s to WOUND that trigger the MW, not to hit. Re-read the weapon rules.
