Uk has just had a record breaking heatwave and I keep my paints in my metal shed. Did some painting and some of them seems a bit funny and I’m not sure if it’s cos they hadn’t been used for a long time or if the heat might have done something to them

One of the neon paint had separated the medium from the pigments and there was a load of dry pigment that I had to mix back in and a metallic one also seems to have separated and won’t remix easily

Well i have noticed paints not reacting well to heat. Makes painting at summer cottage tricky

Probably has had some effect, but sometimes paints do that anyway.

No change to my pots but tip drying on the airbrush is much more of an issue. The wet palette also needs more water than usual.

My wet palette can’t keep my paints wet and workable.
But that’s about the only heat problem I’ve noticed.

I’d say your paints have separated due to sitting for a while. It could be that the cold through the winter affected them more than the heat. Depends how cold it was outside though
