How do!
So being a fan of monsters, models and Forteana, I’m always looking to expand my knowledge of folk tales, myths, monsters, fairies etc. And in this thread, I’m looking for recommendations on literary sources and models for any non-European gribblies and cryptids. Also please no Japanese stuff as that’s fairly easy to find my own sources for.

For mythology, I’ve found some pretty good books at Barnes and Noble discount tables.
For Cryptids, this book and the same author’s A-Z of Cryptozoology, and 2nd edition of Unexplained!
And here’s a poster I saw on a miniatures related page for inspiration (USA centric).

Modern mythological Australian creatures.
Bullet dodging Emus?
No, they actually existed and won.
I liked the Scottish reporter who was fooled into wearing armour due to the vicious nature of Drop Bears.

I’ve got a bunch of their serpents, the thunderbird and capelobo. They’re all great quality.
