Veteran Knight Baron in a Crusader

I still have power but not sure how much longer. I didn't evac when they told me to, now it's too late. 155mph sustained wind with 190mph gusts outside. My models are all packed into Battlefoam and put away in the closet. My cars are in the garage. My guns are in the gun safe except my trusty 19x on my side. The birds are all covered and in bathrooms with no windows. All I can do now is wait it out and hope the 18' storm surge doesn't make it into my house. My lot is at 16' elevation but the canal was only halfway full before the storm so hopefully that will take up enough water to keep my house dry. I normally love storms but this is a bit more than I prefer. Signing off for now, stay safe for anyone else in the path of this thing.

Optimal time for a selfie playing Warhammer with heavy weather rules! Or on an extremely dry, desert table.

Road to Renown! It's like classic Path to Glory, but repaired, remastered, expanded! https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/778170.page

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.

I really hope he's ok and just without power. I'm up state from his location and I can say we got very lucky here where I am. It could have been an absolute nightmare.

This topic was Toofast's last post on Dakka. Hopefully he's alright but just has more important things to do than post on Dakka.
Don't know if an admin can check activity to see if he's just visited the site since?

Almost a month later with no replies. He wasn't necessarily a daily poster but it seemed he was online every 2-3 days at a minimum. Long time to go without posting.

Best as I can tell he was in Cape Coral, FL (between an old post of his dating to 2014 and a reference to a canal in this post - Cape Coral being known for its canals). I can't find any real data about casualties in Cape Coral, other than the fact that at least one person died as a result of the flooding. Maybe no news is good news on that front, and he's just tied up on disaster recovery. On the flip side, Cape Coral and Fort Myers were hit particularly hard, so...

Might be as simple as damage to the computer, and there more pressing needs on his resources.

Hope he's okay. The odds are pretty good, with only one casualty out of a population of 200,000. But there's always that off chance...

Can you confirm it was only one casualty? Because I haven't been able to find anything definitive stating as such.

Ah. My bad. Previous post said 'at least one', which I misread to be 'just one'.
