Hey there all, hoping to get a little clarity.

Would dead models that are the result of spells such as Nurgle's Rot and Smite contribute to Epidemius' Tally ability? On first blush, I would think not but I wasn't sure.

Thanks in advance.

Can you quote the exact rule?

Surely.

Suummerized, while this model is on the battlefield, keep a tally of how many enemy models are destroyed by attacks made by Nurgle units. At the start of each battle round, if there are 7 or more marks on the tally, after making a warp storm roll, gain one additional and reset the tally to 0.

I've seen other similar abilities that don't count psychic powers, as "attacks" usually refers to ranged or melee specifically, not psychic.

Psychic powers arent attacks.

Attacks are defined in the Core Rules as being made by ranged or melee weapons, psychic abilities are neither, so are not attacks.

From the Core Rules:

MAKING ATTACKS
Attacks are made using ranged or melee weapons. Attacks can be made one at a time, or, in some cases, you can roll for multiple attacks together. The following sequence is used to make attacks one at a time:

From the Rules Glossary:

Attack: An attack is either a ranged attack or melee attack depending on which type of weapon is used to make it.
