I present my Leagues of Votann army. It is still under construction, but I will keep expanding it . As a fan of Gloryhammer i waned to name them "The Astral Dwarves from Aberdeeen", bui I'm not sure yet I have the starter set, and so far I made:

Hearthkyn warriors. They were fun to build, I especially like that heads are connected to the sprue only by the neck, it makes painting much easier. For the primary sand color I used Army Painter Speedpaint - it is something like GW's contrast. I'm happy with the result. The special weapons are on magnets.

Hernkyn Pioneers. After painting the warriors, I bought brown Speedpaint for bikers coats. The models were fun to build too

Next were the HQ. I'm not sure how to paint them to be distinctive, so I made a test model on 3D printer to test the painting scheme. The Einhyr champion:

"at the speed of light the dvarvern king arrives, with crystal laser battleaxe into the fray he rides". Apocalypse 1992, Gloryhammer. Also 3D printed, as I saw him on Myminifactory I couldn't resist to have a dvarwern king in my army I hope the battleaxe is enough crystal laser He will be used as kahl.

The next model will be Sagitaur.

Thanks The next model is ready - this time Sagitaur, made straight from the box. It was fun to build, and the result is nice too. Now I need one more to fit the squad of troops

The next models are ready, this time squad of Hearthkyn Warriors. This time not only weapons, but also "special" backpacks are on magnets. They are going to be more elite soldiers, riding Sagitaurs to battle, that's why they all have skulls painted on their left shoulder.

I'm liking the colour scheme. It puts me in mind of construction equipment. The orange weapons is a nice touch as well and gets across that they a 'hazard'. No looking down the barrel. My one nitpick would be that it could all do with a bit of edge highlighting. Just enough to make everything look a little more scuffed up.

As for naming ideas, it looks like the standard procedure is [norse name] [trade union synonym]

So maybe Aurgvangr Construction Collective?

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today?

Time for some Warhammer with literal warhammers Squad of Cthonian Beserks, with mole grenade launcher. At first I didn't like the models, but after building them I think they look great. I would like to have five more to have squad of 10 for the land fortress. But since they are monopose I will search for some alternative models.

The next model is ready. I wanted to add Grimnyr to my Leagues of Votann army, but I coudn't find it at any shop, even internet auctions. There are plenty of them now, but since then I made my own kitbashed model .
Head, backpack and the crest are from various GW's Votann model.

The others are:
body: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-frostforge-battle-damsel-a-174653
staff: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-norgrem-gempriestesses-254594
base: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-industrial-bases-sample-pack-149222
drones: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5627262, I moved the gun to the upper part so the robot could be placed on "flying" base.

Also, the next model is under construction

Baron, don't forget to talk about the SEALs and Marines you habitually beat up on 2 and 3 at a time, as you PM'd me about.

Thanks Another model is ready, the one I started to collect this army for: Hekaton Land Fortress . The model was really nice to build, it was also easy to make all the weapons interchangable using magnets.

Great job on that land fortress. It really looks like it's seen its fair share of battles.

This time there is no new models (not counting the broken servohauler ) but a diorama base. Close to me there will be a big plastic model exhibition, and I made a base for my Votann vehicles to show it. I experimentad with the rust, and a special paint to make paint scrathes and I think it doesn't look bad Pictures are very wide, click them to view in full size.

It took me some time, but the next unit is ready - Einhyr Hearthguard. I like how they look like with half - opened helmets, they remind me those marines from Starcraft . Unfortunately there are only two heads like this in the set and the ones from Heartkyn Warriors don't fit. The model on the right in upper picture is Einhyr Champion presented earlier.

The unit of Brôkhyr Thunderkyn is ready All the weapons are magnetized, so I present one of each type. It was hard to attach magnets to those tiny hands that are on weapons, so I used a small fragments of paperclip. With relatively large magnets in model's arms the weapons are holding strong enough. I also bought a cheap sprue with Ûthar the Destined and painted him, now that he gives 5+inv to the unit he is not that bad .

]

I also made custom Brokhyr Iron master in Heroforge to print, but since I would still need drones and a robot guy I'll probably buy the original model.
