What are you thoughts on the game, stand-alone as well as in comparison to Flames of War?

Anyone excited for the partisan units as a different twist?

Already have the box set, book, and airborne mission pack preordered. Looking forward to mixing it up a little.

I just got back into FOW.

I'll be picking this one up by a stand alone, but this might just put me over the edge with Team Yankee, as well.

Order's in, just waiting on it to show up.

They will be a rad addition on the table.

One of my friends is doing some Cuban troops, and painting the armor in Russian colors.

I havent played a game of TY since just before the pandemic shut everything down.

Yes indeed. The Air Landing Terrain pack looks cool, I hope there are some punch-outs to represent helicopter drops for the air assault missions.

I honestly don't know, but if you look at the little troop stands for the U.S. forces, they are very clearly the "Wovlerines" so I dig it.

I would be shocked if it was. I suspect that any license would cost more than they'd ever realistically expect to get back.

And if it were licensed, I also suspect that they'd be making some sort of deal out of it. We know that Team Yankee was made in cooperation with the author. There's been no mention of any ties to the movie, so I doubt they've done anything official for this.

Not impossible. But it seems very unlikely to me.

Looks like the Red Dawn books are landing already, based on Facebook posts. That's exciting. Hopefully more reviews will pop up on YouTube soon.

Ended up ordering a second starter box after getting first. Was a great deal so could t say no. Now will have a great VDV force in addition to new T64bvs and +4 Hinds

I read the book today...

Next month, I pick up my starter box set, and trim a little WW2 stuff to fund the new one.
I'm all in.

Plenty of time to get into Red Dawn, they're still going to be coming out by the time I get the starter up and running.
