I've been running my Charcharadons as Raven Guard Successors this addition and was curious about everyone's experience using a the Chapter Champion. Specifically If he is you Warlord doing the following:

Chapter Champion Upgrade (+1A, +1 Ld, Skilful Parry, Exquisite Swordsman, Honor or Death, Martial Superiority)

Warlord Trait Martial Exemplar (ReRoll Charge 6" Aura)

Master Of the Trifold Path---Swift and Deadly Warlord Trait (Advance+Charge)

Blade of Truimph Relic (+3 S, -3 AP, 3D)

This coupled with Hunger for Battle and Whirlwind of Rage Chapter Traits.

So essentially you have a 6" Aura that Advance +Charge, +1 to both, Reroll Charge with Exploding 's for 70 points.

I mean he'll kill stuff, but the Judiciar I find better since the fights last debuff is SUPER clutch.

The justicar has a hard delivery mechanic. Or at least I think so. I have tryed to squice him into SW (for maximum fight last) but it is very hard.

The Champ doesn't have more delivery mechanics to be honest.

Judicar seems nice, but I can't find the extra 15 points without sacrificing something else I'll end up missing.

Are you using him as a force multiplier or as one who fights solo? He seems like the later. Then stick to it. But if he is the former then I would look to trade him out for something more boosty.

I am also conserned about sinking 3 CP into one character. I play SW (not doing well at the moment) and the CP is better spent elsewhere on stratagems ingame. I am also conserned about delivery. What does he guard and what gives him look out sir?

All of that beeing said if you love him stick with him. He sounds like he totally rocks and is a fun model to play with. 😎

the only two viable chapions really are the ravenwing and deathwing one. the ravenwing one is mobile enough that he can be basically everywhere, he is ignorable enough that he can objective grab, he is hard to hit thanks to jink, he has plasma talons for WOTDA rng emergency dice rolls late game, and can be a sacrifical pawn to defend an HQ or character you value more then him

finally the deathwing champion, has inner circle for built in transhuman, hes pretty good to club seals, if we every get back the key of archrabael from ROTD, oh yes, thats a hungry man right there, s13 on the charge, ap-2 damage 3 mhmmm hes capable of punting most enemies into the stratosphere if they dont waist him first through his transhuman and 5+ invul.

neither are truly "amazing" but they can in certain situations be matchchangers, they are niche picks that just work when they work

Emperors Champ is good too. Already has relic level wargear, so there's no need to spend further on him, and he hits like a truck.
