it's getting rough out there. One of my groups pledged hard on Epic Warpath by mantic, the 12mm sci fi KS recently.
I went in too. Waiting to pay MSRP for imperialis has not been fun, as the webstore has been getting priority over stores.

As for Old World to stay on topic, I want to do Orcs and Goblins but players are drifting due to opponents waiting.
I'm Trying the game for the first time in 2 weeks w/ some make-shift and cobbled together warriros of chaos, but paying
$40 for conversion trays (they are round based) just to play an army I'm not favoring is impacting my frustration.
I just want to roll dice in the Old World.

Did you know that you can make movement trays yourself out of a great variety of materials & for dirt cheap?

I got my email notification for 30x60 bases being back in stock and tried to buy them 25 minutes after the email was sent out. They are out of stock already.

Yep, unless they held something back for O&G. Not expecting much new stuff beyond a resin or two- probably the lord on Shieldbearers. Hoping for some cool legacy models as MTO - Colin Dixon[RIP] Longbeards, Miners and Warmachines.

Haven't seen any of the regular chinese base makers do 30x60s yet, but Hobby Heaven out of the UK has proper GW style beveled 30x60mm bases up on ebay as well as 30x30mm GW styled beveled bases. Shipping is a bit on the high side, but not terrible

Oh the $40 was for printed trays from a company so I can play. I could do the home crafted route, but I think my opponent will appreciate the proper size and I needed quite an array.

I've found that by using a basic 12" ruler & material of my choice that I can produce all the proper size movement trays I want/need.....

Spaced movement trays are handy and they can match the unit spacing exactly with no extra lip. There's some companies that laser cut them, which is where I got some.

I managed to get an order in.

But!

I also ordered some when they were available two or three weeks ago - also for about an hour only. Just to receive a mail from GW two days ago that my order was cancelled due to the items not being in stock. I have no idea what took them two weeks for that realisation, but I guess their online shop is messed up on both ends.

Good luck to me this time I guess...

the old plastic movement tray kit was excellent

made all sorts of stuff from them, 15mm scale minefields, razor wire, bits for a 40k missile launcher. wonderful source of decent thickness plastic and not an unreasonable price

It would be great if they also stocked up on the exelent middle-earth terrain.
But ofcourse, the nostalgia terrain would be sweet. I would really like that old square watch tower.

Well, looks like we're only going to get one army at a time every couple of months. I wonder how long until High Elves and/or Wood Elves?

Has the UK not changed to daylight time yet? Or is the website just staying on GMT? I was looking for the new stuff an hour ago because we sprung ahead last weekend here in the US.

ETA: Huh, well it's *still* not up on the front page of the WarComm website. I just followed the link from the email they sent me.

I find it by going to 'latest news and features' and then the 'all news tab'.

We've got another couple of weeks before summer time here in the UK.

You also get two new transfer sheets ā€“ one for the Orcs and one for the Goblins, with 75 and 84 decals respectively.**

This caught my eye. Have we seen pictures of these new transfer sheets?

Not yet. I don't know where GW intend them to be placed, since all the shields have moulded detail. Maybe they're tiny tattoos?

I am sorely tempted by those Ogres. Had them many, many years ago, and whilst of course very 2D posed, the overalls sculpts remain ace.

That's a BIG release of Ork and Goblin stuff in one go - if each Old World release is that big then at least we can envision the armies being pretty fast at hitting tabletop once they get their release slot

Probably a couple of big ones for the banners but the numbers suggest something for the infantry. I think maybe one or two shields have a somewhat flat side but most of them are unsuited for transfers. Are we getting new shields?

And this isn't even all of it, is it? I'm missing the 4:th edition Wyvern and Giant. Plastic Wolfriders, Boarboys, Black Orcs, Night Goblins etc...

The O&G release seems to have been delayed from the original schedule. Some of the items previewed for next week were said to be coming "later" originally. Suggests that things were meant to release faster

Goblins have always been my number one warhammer obsession, I have almost everything here already but this is still going to financially cripple me.

There is a couple of minis that have eluded me on ebays hunts finally coming back (one of those wolf rider champions for some reason has been like gold dust) and there is no way I can pass up the chance to add another 25 bases of snotlings, a few more wolf chariots, and then finally collect enough of the chariot standard bearers to have that full unit of properly converted Black Gobbos!
