Might be a long shot here but a while ago I stumbled past something being a book or lore fluff about one of eight chaos weapons. The most I can remember is that people were after the weapon to exploit its potential.

I have a feeling it was a weapon of Korne but also have a feeling that the lore died on the vine. Being it never released.

Anyone have a like memory or know what I am referring to at all?

Sadly Josh Reynolds doesn't write Warhammer anymore :( I hold out a slim hope he'll come back for something eventually, but don't expect it to happen. Such a dam shame, he was my favorite author for AoS.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.

Reynolds left GW with a really sour taste after basically building the AoS novels single-handedly. A lot of stuff he had planned was dropped and will never see the light of day again.

That makes me even more sad. I hope he is being treated better wherever he works now, at least.

Yeah he was my fav fantasy author with loads of interesting characters and stories....

There are a few tie in short stories as well with the Lamintations or mentions of them by the same author

He also did excellent Fabius Bile series. It's really sad to see people like that leave while mediocre senior hacks like Phil Kelly are allowed to ruin faction after faction (what he did to Tau in his most recent series is downright criminal)

He wrote two shorts stories about the eight lamentations called Auction of Blood and The Tainted Axe. He also wrote an audio drama called War-Claw. I can recommend all of them.

War-Claw was pretty good.

Say, where did you originally hear about this? I am interested enough to want to look up the details.

I believe he posted about it on TGA.

Twitter I think. I still follow him and the odd insight into how BL operates pops up from time to time.
