I’m just simply wondering if the knight kits are essentially the same pieces but in different boxes. Do they share the same bits, etc? I know the transfers are different but I was unsure about the rest.

Its been a while since I looked on the website, but I think there's 3 maybe 4 boxes that make the what is it 8 different kinds of knights? I had to go on the website and look at the box art for each unit to figure out which was which.

My WHFB armies were Bretonians and Tomb Kings.

Yeah. It's just the transfer.

Curiously HH side has more sensible thing. Just 1 box. Compare to 40k where each variant has own entry and each gives exact same product So warden is same as paladin is same as errant is same as canix rex etc.

to quote GW's own website, in the product discription for the Knight Paladin:

This kit can also be assembled as a variety of other Questoris-class Imperial Knights – the Errant, Crusader, Gallant, Preceptor, Warden, or the named knight Canis Rex – as well as a Knight Despoiler for Chaos Knights.

so, yhea, its one kit, but they list each version separately on their site, which is standard practice for them with multi-unti kits like this (for example, most of the admech kits can make two different unit datasheets, and each version is listed separately)

my guess is its to make it easier for people with limited knowledge (for example, younger players who know the exact name of what they want but nothing else, or non-native english speakers) to find the "correct" kit, rather than the more generic name they may not recognise

To be a man in such times is to be one amongst untold billions. It is to live in the cruelest and most bloody regime imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of technology and science, for so much has been forgotten, never to be relearned. Forget the promise of progress and understanding, for in the grim dark future there is only war. There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods.

You're forgetting the biggest group of people they want to make this easier for. Moms and Dads.

My WHFB armies were Bretonians and Tomb Kings.
