Hey all.
So new year and new project. At the end of last year I got the urge to pick up some Intercessors and after ages faffing about with various colour schemes I came up with this. Looks very like the Death Guard - you may say... Well hmm, a mystery is afoot
I don't have much lore yet but I have a few ideas.

So here we go with the first mini. My normal army is Guard and I tend to batch paint them. For my marines I want to add a little more detail to each mini. I'm also going to use some techniques that I tend to avoid like glow effects and battle damage.

Second marine finished. Next post I hope to have a five man squad finished.



I add a matt coat to my miniatures as I like how it looks at this scale. It tends to dull any metallics though. When the squad is done I'm going to add some spot highlights where needed with a shiny silver. It looks quite effective contrasted with the matt.

Finished the first part of the 3rd squad, 5th company. Overall I'm really happy with how they turned out.


I tried some OSL on the sergeants plasma gun and decided to give him black inlays to his poulrons to deepen the mystery of their founding

Really well done, very crisp. The glow on the plasma pistol is perfect and I'm also dead impressed by the red dust on their legs.

Very gritty colour scheme and execution, looks great!

I like the use of the circular bit on the backpack as an extra squad/company marking - that's a nice touch, which I don't think I've seen before.

The dust is just really thinned down squig orange glazed over certain areas and allowed to pool in the crevasses.
Just a wip shot today. Every thing pinned and ready for painting 🙂
