Price Changes

The unfolding events of the last few years have taken their toll across the world, not only on people but on organisations and infrastructures. The problems caused by all these disruptions have increased manufacturing costs globally and combined with the ongoing issues with the global supply chain this has resulted in ever-increasing costs for everything, something we now all feel every time we go to the shops.

It has always been our policy to absorb as many of these costs as possible in an effort to shield our customers, both retailers and gamers alike, as we understand the pain that everyone is feeling during these troubling times. However, having held the line for many years we find ourselves with no option but to review some of our pricing from the start of this year. From the 4th February 2023 we will be changing prices on all 15mm miniature codes. The change is restricted to just these codes so all other codes across all of our 15mm ranges will remain unaffected. Pricing on metal and resin has remained unchanged for over five years and plastics for the last three. The increase varies between 11% and 14% depending on where you are around the world and what specific code it is as our prices are in currency and round numbers so they vary a little within the range but overall these percentages reflect the change. All of these products will still be great value, especially the army deals and starter sets which have an unbelievable discount in them to help people get into the hobby. We know that you understand that this is not a decision that we take lightly. We will continue to focus on supporting the hobby long term but the reality of the world has meant there have been significant increases to all our costs over the past few years. Thank you all for your ongoing support.

Gamers

Q: What codes are changing price?
A: All miniature codes across the range are changing but the increase varies slightly between markets and specific products.

Q: What codes are not changing?
A: All our books, card packs and miscellaneous parts of the range like paints, bags, tokens and dice remain as they are currently.

Q: Why are you only changing miniature codes?
A: Manufacturing miniatures is a complicated process and requires numerous materials from around the world. Simpler items that are made of a single material or can be printed locally, like books, have weathered the global cost increase better so we have left those prices alone.

Q: When can I keep ordering items to at the current price?
A: Any order we take and can ship before the 3 rd Feb 2023 will be at the current prices.

Q: What about my local gaming store prices?
A: We have communicated the change to all our clients and recommend they do the same offer as us but they are free to choose how best to do this locally so the best thing to do is get in touch with them and find out what their plans are.

Q: What about codes I have pre-ordered for release after the 3 rd Feb?
A: We will honour the current pricing on an order taken before the 3 rd Feb for products not yet released. We normally have the next book on sale a month or more ahead of its release so this means we will be honouring all current pricing on the Berlin Soviet release that are due out in February and March.

Q: What about any back orders that I am waiting on?
A: We will honour all orders at the current pricing even if it has not yet shipped before the 3 rd Feb as long as it was placed and with us before that date and a product we confirmed can be manufactured.

Stores

Q: When can I see the new order form?
A: We will be supplying you the updated order form towards the end of the month.

Q: What impact does this have on my pre-orders?
A: We will honour the current pricing on all pre-orders for the February Soviet Berlin releases for orders taken before the 3 rd Feb. This gives customers the knowledge that any pre-order already placed won't change in value between now and the deliveries through February.

Q: Can I place a restock order now before the increase?
A: Absolutely and we will honour the pricing on the back order as well. The order must only contain the 15mm codes to make the processing of the order as simple as possible.

Q: What about any back orders that I am waiting on?
A: We will honour all orders at the current pricing even if it has not yet shipped before the 3 rd Feb as long as it was placed and with us before that date and a product we confirmed can be manufactured.

It’s a pretty big jump, and I’m not sure motivated I will be for the resin kits. The plastic box sets are generally well priced (with some exceptions), so I can see myself still buying those. May look at 3D print options over some of their resin though, especially since it can be hard to find at times.

FoW wise all I'm in the market for these days are new books & any new TY kits (US or Soviet only, mostly US) that might come out.

Yeah, I can see myself buying far fewer products from them going forward. Especially their rather expensive resin & metal kits.
