After months of making different concepts and themes that would function well with the painting products and style I want to use, I arrived at closure and chose to go with this theme for my custom chapter, Eradicants. Started with a techmarine as it's a quick paint and basically has a lot of elements to test things on. The Power Axe has slight blue "glow" around the coils but unfortunately it apprently barely shows in the photo. Decided I'll go with this style, as full blue looked off with the rest of the miniature being gritty. More to come.

Looks fantastic - Love the muted tones and the subtle shadows. Metallics on point as well. Well done! Can't wait to see more.

Some really nice clean work there, I especially like the weathering.

A simple but cool piece of homebrew lore and the heavily weathered paint scheme ties it all together nicely. If you ever get around to painting up a squad for this chapter, I think a lot of armor mixing would help sell it even more.

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today?

Thanks, I'm especially glad you noticed the weathering. I tried with a lighter grey and a bonewhite theme before, but the contrast between the battle damage and the armour was so great that they ended up looking way too gritty. I find that on red they blend in a bit more, the end result being balanced.

Also, as I utilize Streaking Grime, it's color tends to vary sometimes and it ends up shading neutral colors, but brown/green against red has very little effect so it just works.

Great looking Homebrew there brother. The colors go good with the name for sure. I could see them using Flamers and lots of firepower no doubt. The lore is short, sweet, and leaves behind some mystery...

Looking forward to updates
