Firestorm Games ( UK) now offering 3D printing of your files + Print of Demand of a range of stuff
custom prints https://www.firestormgames.co.uk/3d-printing/custom-3d-print-services come in at £7.95 per human sized mini
print on demand stuff https://www.firestormgames.co.uk/3d-printing/print-on-demand-ranges
I've not tried them for 3D printing but they're reliable enough as an online gamestore and i thought this was worth posting as there doesn't seem to be many companies offering these services in the UK compared to the USA (and the ones i have used previously have all closed down), so this is a useful option

Looks good, quite a few interesting pieces in the print-on-demand section.
Licensing is one of the reasons why printing services can be tricky to offer in this particular niche, it's a case of technically breaching personal use clauses just by emailing the files to them with the way a lot of sculptors have their T&C's set up, some specifically allow it for printing services, most don't.

Wonder if they can do the pacific rim models, after riverhorse bailed on the kickstarter and just sent the last wave out as stl's?

it's the quiet ones you have to look out for. Their the ones that change the world, the loud ones just take the credit for it. |

They do mention being able to send them STLs so I assume that is an option.
They have some prints on display in the window and they look like pretty good quality.
Whoever runs Firestorm is definitely very forward thinking and seems to have a good business acumen. The store has gone from a tiny place in Cardiff to one of the biggest gaming venues in the UK and two new stores in Swindon and Newport, so assume must be doing well. And I think this definitely shows some forward thinking, to try and get a slice of the (sizeable) 3d printing pie.

Realistically its only good for them to allow it. You just need to clarify the distinction. Me paying someone to print the file I licensed is very different from lots of people paying them to print the file they licensed. A print service is not selling me the product, they're selling me the labor.
