Is 'Eavy Metal Calling?

Time to pick the theme for the final round of the 2022/23 rotation! This time, your options are:

Doomsday: The end is nigh! Whether a crazed cultist prophesising the end of the world, or a vicious warlock ready to commit such acts themselves, your entry should be themed around an apocalpytic event, either one to come, one that has already happened or one that will occur as soon as your entry opens fire!

Location, Location, Location: The ground on which you fight, and the means by which you use it, can be the key ti victory. Be it camoflauge gear, environmental protection or simply adapting to a master a particular habitat, your entry should feature models suited to fighting in unusual environments, ideally accentuated by basing work or specialist gear on the mini itself.

Objective Secured: A battle is won as much through holding the field as by routing the enemy. Your entry should either features troops whose role is to take and hold pivotal points against all comers and thus win the day, or some manner of objective marker over which opposing forces might fight.

In the Deep and Dark: Whether it's stalwart dwarves holding their tunnels against encroaching goblins, or genestealers prowling through the dark corridors of an abandoned Space Hulk, some warriors do their best work in cramped, dingry conditions. Your entry should feature models known for their aptitude in clasutrophobic interior or underground spaces, where every corner holds a new threat.

I’m rooting for location. If all else fails, a decent camo scheme and a matching base should make this well suited for loads of stuff

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

I went with Location, but should be good for any of these.

Also a good plan. Nah, Venice, actually. I have some Doomsday cult on the way for Carnevale.

Went with location, though I'd be happy enough with objective secured. I have no idea what I'd do for the other two...

Oh wait! Just remembered I have a rogue trader squat army to paint! That would be perfect for deep and dark. In fact, I also have the 1995 Warhammer Quest set...

Okay, I'm set for anything. Except Doomsday. Doomsday would be my doom... sday...

No idea what I'm in the mood for, so I voted Deep and Dark for the novelty.

Wait, are you trying to cancel the apocalypse again? Sheesh!

Nehekhara lives! Sort of!

But think of all those poor, starving zombies! Why won't anybody think of the zombies?

Hmm, Location was really strong last month and is in the lead now. I have a feeling I'm going to have to think of something camouflaged in the next few days.

I went with "In the Deep and Dark", sounds the most fun to me.
Looks like I'll have to figure out what to choose for Location though...

From a certain PoV, the deep/dark could be considered a location. Envormental protection/adaptation is listed in the description. Geared up to explore The Black could fit.

I guess that works, yeah. I know there's quite some leeway with the theme, but it sorta feels better to me when I have something that just fits, instead of having to figure out how to make something fit.

No arguments. I always prefer to have an entry that’s a tight fit to the theme (and tend to vote for those kind of entries over technically better ones). But sometimes you need to wiggle a little bit to find something from the to-do pile that you can enter.

I feel like Slaanesh would've be disappointed if I didn't vote for Doomsday, but I've got something that kinda sorta works for Location if that wins anyway.

Dang. Looks like Location. Well, new plan then: Gondoliers, and a Gondola!

Struggling about in Asmos territory.

Voted for deep dark, atleast thats specific.

Location (which looks like its winning..) is so broad it could easily fit with literally anything.
