Honestly wondering if everyone got what they were expecting out of WH+ by now? Does the app work? Do they enjoy their free models? What is the best part of it for you/worst part?

I enjoy the shows.

The animations are not bad. Some better than others, but I like them. Probably my favorite part of the package.

Loremasters gets me peeks into factions I might not have looked at anyway.

Battle reports are hit or miss. Sometimes the enthusiasm seems over the top. But always fun to see well painted armies slug it out.

Some of the paint tutorials are interesting. Most could be summed up with a 5 minute written article with still pics. Most of the run time could be summed up with “gradually blend color x with lighter color y, and lay down increasingly finer highlights”

I use the app on my tablet, as I’m not a big fan of battlescribe’s mobile app. But most list building I do on my laptop with BS.

I’ve got the sniper and the chaos lord still sealed. One of these days they will float to the PoS and get done. Fun looking models.

The vouchers were used to enable me making purchases. Which was actually useful, even if it was working as intended to make me spend more. I tend to covet things but am to tight-fisted to impulse buy most of the time. Not that last year was a good example of that…

The interface for the vault sucks. I poked around at it once or twice, got frustrated, and left. Worst part of W+ IMHO.

Most weeks there is one or two things I watch. I feel like I’m getting my value out of it. Doing the year sub, so that’s a little extra discount over going monthly IIRC.

Beyond maybe the minis I've no interest in nor need of this app so I passed on it again this year.
And I've been able to pick up both the assassin & the chaos termie cheaper than if I'd subscribed.

Mini is a 35 dollar miniature with the opportunity to buy the other for another 35 dollars.

The minis tend to sell between 40-80 dollars a piece in some places.

Even if you don't resell them, as long as you actually want one of the minis, you're only paying 25 dollars for a year and access to the listbuilding apps for that time as well.

I personally like the loremaster videos, the painting tutorials, and the animations.

The battle reports are really hit-or-miss. The corporate 'must be smiling constantly' sort of feel of the guys, even if one guy is getting slaughtered in the game, is really cringe. It's also very clear that they're just using them as a way to show off new mechanics of the armies they're trying to sell.

Overall, I still think it's worth it. I've been pretty pleased with the minis I've gotten, the painting tutorials, etc. Doing a little wheeling and dealing on the side has basically put an extra 40 bucks in my pocket

That's dependant on what country you're in.

For the rates people sell the W+ minis, it's less than W+ in my country.

So I went with a guy on Facebook rather than putting up with W+. I got my Khorne Terminator Lord, and I'm happy.

For its price as a whole I think it’s ok.

The mini I wasn’t impressed with from year one.
Year two I think was a better line up, but I don’t know yet since it still hasn’t click over to let me order it. Even with yearly sub.

The animations I think are ok, nothing there worth a subscription. But in 10 years maybe there will be stuff worth really talking about.

Lore vids is ok, but not really up to the standards we should see yet.

Tutorials I haven’t found much use for. So I have ignored, good quality it seemed but something missing.

Battle reports I think are not really that special, best parts are seeing some of the army.
And then the games drag though any interest, with the highlights being a bunch of dice rolls, and some hype about yay results.

I don’t use any of the building options so don’t know.
And the vault has all the stuff I wanted cut from the book I read.

All in all, minis save it. Without that the content is thin and there are way better alternatives if your not stuck into GW ecosystem.

Have wanted both AOS models so far. They cover most of the price anyway.

AOS app I enjoy using as it works almost perfectly(there's occasional bug with new features but then again no software is totally bug free. 40k bit more wonky but just about workable for my purpose. Helps I know most of unit stats already.

Animations and battle reports I enjoy well enough.

If model was less appealing it would be trickier but after model price factored in it's cheap enough for me.

For my £50 up front, 2022/2023 season has brought me…

The very nice Chaos Terminator model (RRP £23) and a £10 online voucher, which I used to pick up the Leviathan Ranged Sprue for £6.

So in terms of everything else, it’s £21. And I’m not feeling short changed. Whilst it’s format is cack, Warhammer Vault is turning into a pretty impressive trove of lore, and I find plenty enough enjoyment in the various shows.

Its pretty decent for a first time delve into these things. Would like more content for price considering subscription competition

I wasn't interested in this round of minis, so I let my sub expire.

If the next round has good minis, I'll resub and then I will have a bunch of animations to catch up to- which is ideal, because the pace of new release animations isn't great.

As for the Vindicare model- totally cool. Absolutely easy to magnetize so you can use it with or without the scenic base.

And now that the battle sanctum is no longer available, I NEED the statue to make my own "counts as" sanctum.

I enjoy the animations. Just watched the re-cut-into-one-episode version of Interrogator, and thought it was great.

I use the 40k and aos apps almost daily, and I watch all the battle report and loremasters. Works for me.

Well, you do you.
Me? I'll skip spending that extra $25 for access to an app I've no interest in/use for.
Even if I end up putting $40 in someone else's pocket for the mini I've still saved $....

W+ is like most of GW’s bundle/discount offerings. If you just want one or two things in it, it’s overpriced. But the more you want, the better it gets.

If you just want the shows, it’s expensive for the amount of content they deliver.
If you just want the mini, it’s bad, even by GW’s character pricing.
If you just want the app, you are paying a lot for a program that does a mediocre job.

But if you actually want all of those things, you can feel you are getting your money’s worth.

I agree, if you want just 1 thing from it then its overpriced.

If you want multiple parts then its a very good price overall.

The exclusive models are well done and great, personally I got the sniper in year 1 and its a great model; the second year I'm aiming for the warlock but won't see her till the end (paying monthly).

The animations have improved over time. I think one aspect that isn't mentioned is how Corona did mess with several of them in terms of what we got (I think it mucked up the audio recording on at least the black and white series of 3D animations).
Honestly when it comes to the animations my issue is typically "I want more". Both in length and also animation fluidity and that has steadily improved as GW clearly improves and spends more on them.

I think that the artistic style, stories and themes are really on point. Hammer and Bolter really brings home a lot of great scenes and ideas that feel very much set in the setting and they are a far cry from "Marines always good" stories.

I think the weakest point is that there is a heavier amount of 40K material and far less Age of Sigmar. If anything I really hope that they push AoS up a lot more in the animations, though I can appreciate that Marines and 40K are GW's big name and that it was a lot safer for them to experiment with that as a foundation than to use AoS which is also still establishing itself.

Overall I feel I get more money's worth than out of white dwarf.

I have it mostly for the mini and to look at... once every 3-6 months... but it'll probably never be good for me.

The lore is basic. The WD content really isn't... worth money in my eyes.

I'm there for the animation but they so slowly come out, it'll never actually be worth a monthly subscription. Even with it's still very small catalogue, the moment you catch up, the monthly $ simply isn't worth the wait to be able to do it again.

this.

i was already using, and willing to continue using, the 40k app as i found it useful, so my start point on WH+ was as a relatively small upgrade to my existing 40k app sub.

To be a man in such times is to be one amongst untold billions. It is to live in the cruelest and most bloody regime imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of technology and science, for so much has been forgotten, never to be relearned. Forget the promise of progress and understanding, for in the grim dark future there is only war. There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods.

I'm still enjoying it.

Looking forward to content coming this year.

The Warhammer App is still complete gak and undeserving of any credit of any sort. The developers should be made to feel bad about what they've produced.

I've found using the apps actually a lot easier and better than using Battlescribe.

So far, the AoS app has been spot on with points, they've kept it updated with the new GHB, and I haven't run into a single issue with lacking an option or a rules interaction not working.

I ran into a few issues early on with the Warhammer 40k app, but it's improved. It's been a long while since I've found a glitch or wrong rules interaction, and they've kept the points updated at a decent pace.

If your idea of the list building apps are still from the early days, I'd recommend trying it again, but if you're just intent on hating anything that GW produces, then just stick to battlescribe or pen and paper.

IMO, the 40k and AoS list building apps have improved dramatically.

Well with new ghb there's some oddity with how galetian champion upgrades work(though mostly irritation on scrolling) and seems some units that should be able to go galetian veterans bat that can't. But compared to errors i have found in bs less.

Biggest issue is lack of "reinforced x 1/2" in list print out so need to know points to figure out does that look min size/double/trible size unit.
