These guys always give me decent store credit when I do trades, but it's always surreal browsing eBay for oldhammer stuff and seeing my converted models for sale.

If I'm understanding it right, those are prices they're offering to buy for?

Judging by their bretonnian prices, they're substantially lower than you'd get on ebay or just trading in the oldhammer trading group on facebook.

Yes, those are their offers. They are a business after all, so they'll buy from you at much less than they'll sell it for.

Why give them the margin on its value when you can just sell it yourself on ebay?

Unless you live near them, you're already stuck mailing it. So make the money yourself.

I've dealt with them before and their lowball offers are ridiculous.

Better to take the 10% hit off selling on EBay or selling on Facebook, Bartertown, Reddit, here, and just about anywhere else.

I also don't see this as News or Rumors.

It should be in Swap Shop

You apparently don't know how businesses operate.

NobleKnight is basically the Pawn Store / Pawn Stars of hobby shops.

A lot of those prices are hilarious.

Now that would be a fun show to watch, a pawn stars type hobby shop.

But Rick Priestly signed it!

A lot of people don't want to deal with the hassle of trying to find a buyer by signing up for various websites and/or haggling over price with buyers.

When my wife's grandfather passed away they had to deal with his large collection of fireman collectables (he was a fire chief), a reseller offered them some amount that they felt was way too low for everything because they had records for how much everything cost. They spent YEARS trying to sell it all and eventually gave away big chunks because they couldn't find buyers. I don't think they made much more than the reseller offered, but they had a whole lot more hassle and frustration trying to get that money than if they took what the reseller offered.

Works for me!

I think the idea is that you trade them all your stuff, rather than make individual sales. At the local game store flea market, sellers don't even want to inventory or ship stuff, so we'd be giving away stuff. I have a few hundred dollars of post-3rd edition WHFB and WH40K that I picked off the free table. And still haven't read yet.

I think the news aspect is the latest change to their rotating “most wanted”. Previously I recall it being “Wargames”.
