I'm pretty sure this is the correct place for this, if not, mods please move to appropriate sub. I recently finished Republican Roman, and Carthaginian armies for Clash of Spears. Played through a few turns to get the feel and flow of the rules, but had a ridiculously small amount of terrain. It was laughable, really. So I'm going to start building some. I've watched enough videos on the Youtubes to figure out basic tools I'll need, basic construction methods, etc. There are certainly a lot of great tutes out there. My problem is the lack of historical vids. I don't really need a tute, I just need to see what stuff looked like back then in rural Italy. Specifically, illustrations, not photos of a 2,000 year old barn's remains. Lol, I know it sounds like a weird question, and I hesitate to even post it, but I need to know what stuff looks like to build it. My Google-Fu is apparently pretty weak, cuz I'm just not really finding what I need. Any and all suggestions welcome.

what search terms are you using?
if I type in "how were roman villas constructed" "life in roman village" or "1st century roman villa" alternatively "farmhouse, domus, barn, stables, granary, bath house, insula" a few of the image return are illustrated cross-sections or 3d models.
Granted a bit of them are BCE Rome, Pompeii or in Britain, but they tended to carry their architecture along with the rest of their culture.

mostly rectangular walls made from brick/stone, plastered, wood-frame gables, terracotta or thatch roofs, bare or painted interiors, atria, etc.

have you tried other search engines like bing or duckduckgo? been getting interesting image references with the latter recently.
