Subject: What is wrong with these Pygmies? UPDATED with suggestions!

Hey Dakka, hoping for some help. I'm painting up these Pygmies for some games I'll be running this summer, but I'm not pleased with how they are turning out. Open to suggestions on what colors to change. Only thing I won't change is skin color as it would require too much work. Maybe I turn the green turtle shell or jade to a cool black/dark blue?
Do they look off to you?

"Wrong" is rather a strong word, but I think the pure white feathers are rather jarring. You might want to consider darkening everything except the tips.

everything on them looks pretty good. In my estimation the only thing off is the white feathers and other white decorations besides the mask eyes. Darken all of the white besides the mask eyes and it'll look pretty great.

Drybrush the red cloth with leathery browns imho, but thats a preference of making green less contrasting with more natural colors rather than getting xmassy vibes.

I think what makes them look a little 'off' is that all the parts are well painted, but don't fit well together color-wise because e.g. the very bright green stands out and does not really look like it was part of the model. I'd try a light wash, or weathering powder, drybrushing or sth. with 'dirt' or 'dust' colors to make the overall look more unified and natural.

Thank you all for the great suggestions. I'm going to hit the white with a soft brown wash and try two things with the green:
1)Change to a dark purple blue
2) wash with a sepia wash to bring down the brightness and tie it in more with the browns on the model

Those turtles must be so radioactive, they're about to start throwing karate kicks and shouting 'cowabunga!'
I don't know if you need to change them to blue. A little softening glaze might do something, though.

Yeah, I tried to go with more of a lime green to avoid too much of a Christmas look .. but it clearly didn't work out lol.

Ok, blue or new green?
I softened the white, hit the green with a sepia to tie it in more. Also tried a different color.
One thing to keep in mind is that there will be greenery of some sort on the base too.
