disclaimer: I have no clue if the Lion gets to reroll ones... this is assuming he doesn't, but I'm expecting he will

If the Lion uses only sweeps, he does 6.5 wounds to RG and if he only strikes, 8.4

If RG uses Daddy's sword he does 7.3 wounds and if he used the Hand, 9.72

I did add in one wound per round for the Emperor's shield, but if the Lion gets to reroll 1s, he gains almost 2 wounds on average per weapon, tipping the fight in his favor... however, if one charged the other, on average they'd kill them with that extra attack and going first... so surprisingly even in a fight (I thought the Lion had it won, before doing the math)

Of course, come June, all of this could change anyways

Ya I honestly thought the lion would have better defense with the emperor's sheild and all. A 4++ is well disappointing.

a 4++ is pretty standard for top level Invulns. Rarely do you see one better and when/if you do, its on something that is usually otherwise tissue paper. The surprising things about the shield are that it:

A) Doesn't improve his armor save like Storm Shields
B) Doesn't affect Mortal Wounds like Relic Shields.
C) Doesn't really do MORE than either of those shields just trades one niche bonus for another.
D) Doesn't shoot - so far it appears the Lion has no shooting.

I’m guessing his pistol from HH, which had some kick, is on the profile too… just not the unit preview. I’m also pretty confident he’ll reroll 1s on the attacking side.

I would expect the pistol model carries to be the shooty weapon over shield myself.

But ye for emperor's shield funny how termies carry better shield ah well rules valid for good 2-3 months anyway.

The Lion wins by default due to a well groomed beard and mustache.
