I'm trying to solve a small Chainaxe problem for a Space Marine kitbash. I have some Chainaxes from the Corpse Grinder Cult box, bland I want to give those chainaxes to some Space Marines, but I don't have any "hands" to grip them to outside of some Power Swords I was saving.

Do I sacrifice the Power Swords to use the attached hands for this project? Do I give up on using the Corpse Grinder Cult Chainaxes and just get 3d prints? What do you all do for kitbashes like this, where you have the weapons but not the hands and handles for them?

I don't have any Corpse Grinders myself, but if their hands are suitably large to compare to power armor gauntlets, you can carefully carve grooves into the finger joints and add a green stuff plate to the back of the hand to turn an organic hand into an armored one. If they're too small, the alternative is to sculpt the finger armor instead, but that can get fiddly.

Nehekhara lives! Sort of!
Why is the rum always gone?

The Corpse Grinder hands are significantly larger than regular Marine hands. They're closer to Terminator hands in terms of scale.

It seems like everyone else online just takes spare weapons and takes the hands off of those. I have a bunch of Power Swords, though not quite enough for this full project (and IDK if I'd want to use them for something else in future).

Dang. Looks like my options really are:
-Use/buy more sword bits to use the hands off of
-Just use 3d printed chainaxes instead.

And it really looks like both options are equivalent in price too.

I always throw money at a problem like that (bitz sellers to the rescue). For example, chainsword arm bits are quite easy to find, for both primaris and firstborn, you might even find arms for both sides so you can then choose whether to go left or right handed with the weapon

If it's not an impotant model (like a colour test piece or whatev), I might just take any old pistol arm and lop off the gun.. but that's a no go for anything serious
