These 3 models took an hour and a half from spray undercoat to applying varnish.
I used a small fan to speed drying as it is pretty cool here currently, in summer I wouldn't bother.
I wanted something reproducible, natural and would not involve sub assemblies and any detailed work. Also could be used on tine bugs all the way up to the big ones.

1: Spray black
2: Abbadon black thinned to get anywhere missed
3: Heavy dry brush Stormvermin fur
4: Dry brush Baneblade brown
5: Dry brush from above karak stone
6: Dry brush edges ushabti bone
7: Wash of slightly thinned carroburg crimson on the fleshier parts
8: Evil sunz scarlet to the brains and recesses
9: Carroburg crimson heavy wash to brain
10: Redo evil sunz scarlet to the brain

Base:
1: Eshin grey
2: Dry brush dawnstone
3: Light dry brush administraum grey
4: Drybrush patches of cadian fleshtone
5: Bricks are wazkakka red and light drybrush around them for brick dust, then spots of khorne red to the brisks
6: Skulls: Ushabti bone, agrax earthshade, dry brush ushabti bone and light dry brush skull white.
7: 2 layers abbadon black to base edge

Varnish with spray satin varnish

Those look great. Washes over structure do seem to work well with organic models.

Also to differentiate between units I am planning on using different colours for the fleshy gaps.
Still not sure for the fleshier ‘skin’ if I should use a different wash colour to match, I probably will as it is quite light and the bone protrusions will still tie the army together.
