I am starting building a Valkyrie for my Navy Breachers, and was wondering if anyone has used a Navy Breachers torso on the HB gunner model that is supposed to go into the transport bay area? Or perhaps I am better off without putting any gunner in there?

I don't want to use the existing model as it has the "outdated" Old Cadian proportions..

Alternatively, share your Imperial Navy themed Valkyrie paintjobs if you've got them, looking for inspiring references

Thanks!

You have to remember that the valkyrie is made with the old cadia models size, if the imperial navy model have the size of the new models they may not fit in.

You reckon the kit is such a tight fit?

Anyways, I think I probably do not want to add the gunners in any shape or form, they would make the insides look way too cramped, you couldn't even fit 5 old cadians in there

Anything can fit together provided you are willing to do some slicing and greening. It sounds like a cool conversion so I say go for it.

Another option is to make a cast of the desired torso in a material with high shrinkage to get these extra millimeters to dissappear

Unfortunately, the insides of the kit are so tiny that I don't want to add any gunner inside, any model inside would just make the scale look like there'd be no way to fit 12 guardsmen in full gear inside

What might be cool however would be to use Navy Breacher helmets on the pilots.. hmm..

Halfway through building this kit. Not a fan to be honest. Current HH plastic kits show GW has improved their vehicle kit making game considerably from the time when this thing was brand new. Think I will need to spend more time gap filling than actually assembling. Some of the flat parts also show signs of plastic flow, I keep finding these Y-shaped extrusions on flat areas than need to be filed down before priming.

Leaving the roof unglued I think, just so that I don't need to paint the insides before completing the build. I do the same thing with all my Rhinos. Also thinking of not gluing the wings in either, in order to make it easier to transport.

Definitely do not glue the wings on; I made that mistake and have regretted ever since!

That gets a vote from me. Mine isn't very friendly to transporting or storing, and a friend's two or three Valkyries pretty much required him to bring the big, unwieldy model case all the time. I'd recommend magnetizing, if that's possible, simple to spare you the trouble.

Nehekhara lives! Sort of!

You don’t even need magnets; the joint is solid on friction alone.

That's what I heard. Will try without glue & magnets first
