The strat says you roll a number of dice equal to the Weapon strength characteristic. Some vehicles have Weapons with two profiles, Like the Chaos Knight with its warpclaw. Its strength is 20 and 10. The strat doesnt say you get to pick a Profile. Neither does it say you get to make attacks, which would allow you to Pick a profile. How many dice do you roll ? 22 or 10 ?

You get to pick.
Seems insanely OP until you remember that you can can't do the same stratagem more than once per phase and Tank Shock is capped at 6 MW.

It says "select one melee weapon your unit is equipped with. Roll a number of D6 equal to that weapon’s Strength characteristic."

So you do just that.

Assuming you mean the Warpstrike claw form one of three Knights: Rampager, Despoiler, or Desecrator. (Because I could not find a "warpclaw" that is "either strength 20 and10")

It has two profiles, either - Strike or - Sweep Strike has a Str of x2 and Sweep has a Str of +2 (The model has a base 8 Str) So you pick one.

Where does it say you get to pick one ? Citation please, i cant find it in the tank shock strat.

What i mean is the warpstrike claw previewed here :

You dont select targets for this weapon, so you cannot select a profile.

I would say you cant do that with a weapon with two profiles. The rule doesnt say what to do.

In what you linked it has a weapon profile called "Warpstrike Claw - Strike" It also lists another weapon profile which is "Warpstrike Claw - Sweep"

I do not see how you are confused. They have their own profiles. So you just pick a weapon and use its strength.

You pick the profile of the weapon to use as normal.

If it gives you two profiles and you cant understand what to do, the logical thing to do is pick one and keep the game going.

Hush now. I, and others, gave valid answers on how to play this.

You weren’t looking for how to play this however. You started a thread to bait an argument. Your motivation is sus and I don’t feel bad about calling that out. If you were genuine you’d thank others for info/consensus. Instead you double down every time, diluting the utility of this forum. Cf your Strand of Fate thread. Gonna be a long old edition if you’re like this before it even starts…

On the datasheet, it specifies "Before selecting targets for this weapon, select one of its profiles to make attacks with." First off, you're not making attacks with it so that's redundant. Secondly, that is only relevant in the Shooting Phase or Fight Phase so you don't use both in the same attack.

Lastly, the stratagem states to "Select one enemy unit within Engagement Range of it, then select one melee weapon your unit is equipped with."

Now, look at the Chaos Knight datasheet under melee weapons. There are 5 options. Now, all you do is SELECT ONE OF THEM!

You're overcomplicating this. It's simple and straight forward.
