I would say excited but I no longer care about 40k, 30k has my armies feeling like they should so there's zero ncentive for me to play it.

So none of the choices fit.

Getting to point out to certain people IRL that I was right.
Again.

Beyond that?
●more/new Crusade
●New Tyranid models - wether or not I get them in the new box now or separately . Either way.
●Seeing what (if any) new forces I can build.

I prefer to think of it as a clear-headed assessment of things to come based on 2-3 decades of experience.

Besides better the bitterness be put in one place rather than spread throughout the board.

Still can't decide if I'm more excited about putting my heavy weapon teams on 40mm bases or putting my conscripts, vets, special weapon teams and every squad that duplicates weapons on the shelf.

I'm super keen to make a series of modelling decisions based off the new rules that will come back to bite me in 3 years

Actual big hope is for EC though

Wait... heavy weapon teams are on 40mm bases now?

*checks GW website*

Ok 50mm bases. Still, feth that. My plastic ones are on the 60mm they came with, and even then more than half my weapon teams don't even have bases as they're Cadian/Tallarn/Mordian HWs from when they didn't come with big bases.

50mm? I must have misremebered.

I'll still put them on 40mms so I'm all set for 11th edition.

Hopefully a repeat of the Xenos Love we saw in 9th, particularly for those armies which only got a kit or two.

Whilst I wouldn’t say know to the remaining Aspect Warriors in plastic (there’s really not many to go) and an updated Dire Avengers, I feel in terms of a cohesive looking army Craftworlds are actually quite well off.

Dark Eldar need primarily a clear out of all non-plastic units. Just get them updated, drop in a special character or three.

At least, that’s the bare minimum for me.

Not at all, I chuckled at it, but I suspect the humour might be lost on some.

How about:

1) Erasing all of my Crusade gains to start over
2) Requiring houserules to start those Crusades, since 500 points isn't book legal
3) Waiting up to 27 months to get bespoke Crusade content for all my armies
4) Making do with the Crusade content provided by Campaign books until then, much of which (like everything else for the first six months) will be all about Marines (and Nids, to be fair).

Edit: In all seriousness, SOME of the Crusade changes are really good. Other important details (the quality of bespoke Dex content) are unknown.

Bugeater just banned Eldar. Those are the people would wouldn't get the humor and why I think threads like this hurt more than amuse, because it winds up pandering to reactionary lunatics.

Yeah this is the comedy divide sadly, the thread (I believe) is intended as a tongue-in-cheek jab at the regular complaints we get per release/edition. Others will take this as a negative rant and opportunity to complain about stuff. You see both in here already.

Well you're already acting as if Hive Guard haven't had yet another nerf, so you're not lying.

The context is it's Kyoto making the post. Anyone who's been here for any length of time should know exactly the spirit in which he made the thread.

Well, first GW opened the bag with Votan first. And second with the eldar index and point costs leaked, I can imagine that some people, especialy those who had the rules a lot sooner then other, may not be very happy how One army shapes up to look. Everything else, all the other armies range from good to bad, to "narrative", but there is nothing coming even close to equal as far as army rules goes. They are as if my dudes suddenly got all their weapons, not just the melee ones turned in to str 6 ap-2, which combined with 3 teleports per turn would be rather mind blowing broken. Eldar not only have no down sides, besides maybe being caught in melee, which is not going to happen often with how fast they are, but on top of that someone at the studio decided to give them the 9th ed pre first balance patch point costs too, on top of rules that generaly were removed from other armies. It is as if someone wrote an army to just win games, on all levels. killing other stuff, taking almost all the objectives etc. If eldar had 10" movement on stuff like banshees or assault ramps or wave serpents or could piggy back in DE transports, then we would have the 8th ed Inari expiriance all over again.

Plus GW is going to have to release a day 1 FAQ anyway as a ton of their rules aren't clear. No one knows if sustain from two sources is combined or not. Or How exactly the passing of traits works in 10th. Or what those "leading" mean when there is two characters attached to a unit.

If you have to kill, then kill in the best manner. If you slaughter, then slaughter in the best manner. Let one of you sharpen his knife so his animal feels no pain.

What nerf? I see it more as a powershift

Impaler cannon now hits better, has more shots and range but less damage/AP
Shockcannon lost range but hits better and bypasses the vehicle toughness going up.

They also gained a pip of toughness which isnt nothing. Its also now an area denial piece with its better overwatch

They cost too much, by like 5 pts. You can't fit 6 in to a 2000pts army, there are wierd left over points. That is assuming you are going for the regular tyranid build and not the psychic/battleshock list. Which to be honest I have no idea how it works, besides being very annoying to marines and imperial players.
