These were in the Dawn of War boxed set.
I had no idea they existed. Anyone think I should use them?

They lock you into a specific chapter, so you can’t use other chapter’s named characters and units.
IMHO they have slightly better rules then the generic versions, but are also slightly more expensive.
If you were planning on going Blood Ravens, and not stealing other chapters stuff and giving them your paint job, go for it! They look solid.

If i were to run Blood Ravens, absolutely.
Or at least they'd be given the same amount of consideration as any other Chapter specific character/unit gets when I run their chapter.

Gladius is pretty solid, and I do have a soft spot for Librarius Conclave.

That actually sounds like what you'd hope for from a named character then. I guess we owe the designers a thumbs up on these guys?

ATTENTION. Psychic tests are unfluffy. Your longing for AV is understandable but misguided. Your chapter doesn't need a separate codex. Doctrines should go away. Being a "troop" means nothing. This has been a cranky service announcement. You may now resume your regularly scheduled arguing.
