This is my list for an upcoming Medusa V event in the Ash Wastes area. Doctrines: Special Weapons Light Infantry Rough Riders Iron Discipline Grenadiers HQ 1. Hardened Vet. Sarge w/bolter, scanner 9 vets w/3 plasma guns, lascannon 144pts Troops 1. Junior officer w/laspistol, c.c.w, iron discipline Autocannon team 60pts A.Infantry squad w/plasma gun, missile launcher 85pts B.Infantry squad w/plasma gun, missile launcher 85pts C.5 remnants w/ flamer 36pts 2. Strom trooper Vet. Sarge w/plasma pistol, bolter, scanner 9 Storm troopers w/2 plasma guns 139pts Fast Attack 1. Rough rider vet. sarge w/lance 9 rough riders w/ lances 116pts 2.Hellhound w/heavy stubber, smoke 130pts 3.Hellhound w/heavy stubber, smoke 130pts Heavy support 1.Leman Russ w/h-m lascannon, smoke, searchlight 159pts 2.Basilisk w/indirect fire, armoured c.c, improved comms 165pts 3.Basilisk w/indirect fire, armoured c.c 145pts My basic strategy for this force is to set up in two camps at either end of my line. Each camp will be built around a basilisk and the force will be split roughly in half. The stormies and the vets will each guard a basilisk, while the anti-tank teams remove threats to my armour (I only have 3 lascannons to spread around) Each basilisk will also have a counter attack unit nearby in the form of the rough riders or the HQ. they will attack anyone who deep stikes in or tries some other crazy move. The special weapons teams deploy simultaniously in the infiltrate phase and will prevent the enemy from grabbing the good field position and be able to jump out and toss a demo charge and some fire at anyone stupid enough to get too close. The infantry will support the stormies and vets while the sentinals move into a good position and the russ and hellhounds deploy from reserve where needed. This is a pie plate army and my first priority is to eliminate anti-tank capability. one that is done then i can have a field day burning the troops out of cover with hellhounds and blasting any hiding people with the basilisks. The two pockets can support each other against drop pod/demon bomb attacks and if he splits his forces, I can hit one side with my reserves and then counter attack. So any suggestions on additional one-two punches I can stuff in here?

Moore, Ok.

doesn't make the eyes bleed so much now.

except:

1- powerfists bad. i feell your officers are better leading than dying horribly in HtH

2- commisars i don't care for

3- "A.Special Weapons Team w/Light Infantry, demo charge, flamer, melta gun 79pts "
don't mix and match spec. weapons

4- @ 2K points i think you need more than 3 lascannons

5-"1.Leman Russ w/h-m lascannon, smoke, searchlight 159pts

2.Basilisk w/indirect fire, armoured c.c, improved comms 165pts

3.Basilisk w/indirect fire, armoured c.c 145pts

i'd feel better with 2 russes, and 1 bassie.

or even 1 demolisher, 2 bassies would be better, imho.
