Carnifex, Enhanced Senses, 2x TL-Devourers - 113

That list comes to 1990.

So, The difference is basically the extra gunfex, 4 genestealers, and one scoring unit. Which list should I take?

Thanks

The first list is a better list for a good player. The Trygon will attract most of the initial firepower of your opponent, allowing you to have free reign with the gunfexes. If you have the opportunity, taking the flying tyrant with 2 TL Devourers would be a more better choice. If not, don't worry about it. The first list helps you determine where your opponent is going to put most of his effort, and you can take advantage of that in many ways.

The only cheesy army is one that beats me because I am the greatest 40k player - ever.

Good luck gabe, beyond that i would suggest whatever brings more scoring units to the board. Your biggest problem willl probably be avery with his 6 6man las plas units with the 2 assault squads. Beyond that i dont see how anything from my sisters, to mech tau, tank company, or even that iron warriors guy will be able to put out enough to stop you.

Hey, all I know this isn't very interesting but I moved to El Paso, TX AKA nowheresville so if you live here or Las Cruces and wanna game PM me sometime!

I'm thinking Avery might bring his Wych Cult... that could do me in pretty badly. With so many blasters and dark lances, and agonizers... it will do some nasty damage.

I really don't think I'll do too well, except maybe against armored company. With possibly 3 starcannon horde eldar armies with 3 WLs, and acouple seer councils, the afore mentioned 6man las/plas army or wych cult, 9 oblit IWs, and some others... I'm gonna have a hard time, because I have no AP2/3 shooting, and fewer genestealers than usual.

I guess we'll see

Catch ya there dude,

In order to use a Trygon you must have a group of Raveners in the list. Which is good because ravenors are probably the best thing to put in the Trygon, as its special tunneling rules benefit them greatly.
If you have the models/time&money, 2 trygon is pretty damn broken, as you can easily box the opponent in and hit him with ridiculous assaults that would never make it in a normal game.

Im surprised dark eldar would be a pain. I mean sure the agonizers hit you on 3 wound on 4 but you've got like 4 wounds a carni? And the only one hurting you is the succubus really so with 4 attacks thats maybe 2 wounds a turn?. The biggest problem i see using this list is not being aggresive enough, especially if john decides to use some goofy mission rule. And is the trygon a vdr creation, or super heavy per se? I dont know enough about the nids to say so but if he counts as a super heacy remember he takes up 2 spaces on the Force org.
Anyways im off to bed so i dont oversleep. Heres to not letting any outsiders take it all!

It's actually not just the damage that the wyches can do to the MC's, it's the limited damage that the MC's can do back to the wyches. Against T6, even the regular wyches have a chance of putting a wound on from time to time, too.

However, on swinging back against the wyches, since scytals don't get their bonus attacks and they wyches have the invulnerable save, carni's can't expect to kill more than one a turn....probably more like one every other turn. A full unit of wyches (assuming they get the charge) should kill a four wound carnifex in one full turn (top and bottom).

Make sure you use the genestealers against the wyches if you can. With the matching I6, wyches don't like genestealers.
