Hey Everyone,

Let me start by saying that Orlando gamers are the same as any other area! Recently, there have been several post to accuse us in general of cheating or being poor sports. That is simply not true. I have been gaming for over 28 years but only recently discovered the real crack cocaine of gaming....40k. I've only played in 3 tourneys here and of course a bucketload of friendlys. Anytime I have a question I have asked the senior players and they have always answered in a friendly considerate way. My opponents likewise. I have not seen any blatant cheating! I am a recently retired Orlando Police Officer and Army Officer. I will not lie, steal or cheat nor tolerate anyone who does so. In every match I have played I simply smile, shake hands and say a sincere "nice game". Please do not make generalizations to belittle others as it puts you in the bad light of being cry babies. I really do welcome any of you to play me and see what we are about and I am sure you will find we are courteous gamers just wanting to play. And you may use my dice.... though I warn you I am notorious for rolling 1's on a 2+ save. You might want to use your own so the jinx does not spread.

It sounds to me that the Orlando gaming community is much stronger/larger than the Port St. Lucie gaming community. I guess I posted my thread, "orlando gamers" at the wrong time. I wanted to make sure there would be an eager opponent waiting to pummel me upon my arrival, and it seems there are plenty.

Thanks for describing the scene, see ya'll at the end of the week.

This weekend (july 29th I believe) is a rougue trader tournament for 40k. 1850, special characters allowed, not sure on imperial armour. For more information you could check sci-fi-city's web site or call the store.

Orlando is a great place to game and there are many friendly gamers here. I have found that the gamers here put having a fun time far ahead of winning. I have not had any arguments on rules or seen anyone cheat here. SciFi City and Rhubarb Games alternate 40k/WHFB RTTs each month. This is a great place to be if you like to play in tournaments.

@rryann: Like Me_Person said, this weekend will be a 1850pt 40k RTT. For details contact the store. It is on Saturday. We would like to see a great turnout and we highly encourage any new faces to show up to play! The more the merrier!
@GreenBloater: Thanks for the support man. I also thought your army was one of the best painted at the Necro. Easily in my top 5. Thanks for sharing your pictures of that event as well.

For further insentive, the prize support is also very good all the time. Both of the last two had really good prizes, the last one best overall won a defiler, chaos rhino, chaos squad. The one before that had a tau battle force and a hammerhead for the overall. The best painted/ sportsman/ ect... also have good prizes, such as a squad box and a 10 or 15 dollar thing to go along with it.

There will be a painting judge. Armies have to be displayed by 12:30. I am not sure if that effects your overall. Either way it is always good to have a painted army.

It would be awsome if you could make it.

@rryann: No your army doesn't have to be completely painted, though it is strongly encouraged. Either way, expect to have a great time with some great opponents and friendly faces. Hope to see you there.

Well said man.

We have played and it was fun.  I enjoyed your comment at our mega battle that I want to shoot something, well yes, with Guard it is trying to hit that is the trick.  I do like to shoot at anything especially if it scatters.

Anyway, I think some of us have forgotten that it is only a game and having fun is what we are doing.  Our group is strong and very helpful to newbie's and old timers as well.

Hope I can shoot some of your Choas guys this weekend.
