Many fans of the exciting battle games of Warzone and Chronopia will be delighted to know that all the stock is now available from Prince August. Over the coming month, we will be listing a huge stock of games, expansions, blister packs, rules, etc., that support these games.

Depending on feedback, we may even begin casting and expanding these games in the future.

We have had very positive feedback from game players so far.

We have even opened a new section of Prince August's forum to cater to the Warzone and Chronopias fanbase.

Contact us at info@princeaugust.ie for more details, or visit our website.

It was reported before taht the molds were destroyed but since Prince August is Irish maybe they have Euro rights or something.

Anyway, for fans of cheap stuff there's this:

WARZONE - Mutant Chronicles:
80 Bauhaus & Imperial soldiers

20 Euros, about $20.  Not bad figures but not very convertable.  If nothing else they all have gasmask heads and backpacks and can be a dirt cheap sourse of IG bitz.

$20 for 80? Hmmm... I was thinking about doing a guard army anyway, I could always just dip them...

Has anyone ever tried Chronopia? I played it a few years ago at GenCon and rather enjoyed the system. The new version used cards for a blind setup and the game mechanics used alternating units instead of 'you go then I go'. I'd recommend the book (if you can find it) and getting some minis for an alternative game to play every now and then.

Some more details on the plastics... all of this is IIRC

There's 2 factions Imperial (Space WWI England) and Bauhouse (Space WWI Germany) they have different armor styles. they could both be used in the same army with a consistant paint scheme but FYI.

There's 3 figures for each, a basic rifleman trooper with an oversized gun, a heavy weapon trooper with a gattling gun and a sgt. I forget the ratio, it might be as high as 3:1:1 or 8:1:1. Squads in Warzone were smaller than GW.

The arms for the riflemen and heavy weapon troops are joined at the elbow and there's almost no posability. The Sgts arms might be clipped to more poses and weapon swaps. The barrels plastic gatling guns can be clipped and another weapon added for variety.

I only got a few and never really pursued them but now that they're literally $.25 each I might get them.

Your IIRC was pretty much spot on Kid. The breakdown is 8:1:1 as the basic boxed set assumed 10 man units. Additionally, there are actually two slightly different poses for each basic trooper, meaning 4 poses per squad. Of course, when I say slightly different I mean very slightly.

Did you think the guns on the plastics were that oversized? Compared to their metal counterparts, and even to GW, the guns on the plastics seemed positively dainty.

COmpared to lasguns I'd say so. They also have drum barrels and underbarrel grenade launchers, they just look nastier than GW weapons.

BTW has anyone else noticed that GW lasguns are about twice the size of bolters?

Yeah, GW sculptors are really, really bad about keeping any sort of relative scale across the entire range of figures. I mean, come on, Guardsmen are as big as Marines! WTC? Lately it's beginning to get bad again, ala 2nd Ed. 40k bad (the dark days for 40k figures and paint jobs). And they had come such along way during 3rd ed to, toning down the gun sizes and whatnot. Still had the scale creep, but lately it's become comical. I guess that's what happens when you fire a big chunk of your sculptors and go to a freelance basis.
