Will most likely be playing a kador or protorate player with this list.  Any thoughts.

My immediate thought is three jacks and no longgunners...

Caine tends to keep focus, or use his spells to buff Gun Magers and
Long gunners. I'm not sure how to modify the list...

Is this based off the battlebox?

3 jacks for a 6 focus caster is going to be tight. Although the journeyman warcaster helps.

I would drop the ironclad for some longgunners.

All problems can be solved with proper use of a high powered rifle and a water tower

Caines style of combat doesnt work well with more then one jack,id just take a lancer with him for the occasional arc node use IF you must assign him a jack.I prefer none with Caine.Instead give the Journeyman a ranged jack(i prefer a defender or a hunter,but the charger will do)

Caine's twin ROF2 pistols+flash are nasty so you want him to hog up that focus for himself.Cast blur on yourself and go to town.Caine = 1 man army!!

This is IMO not a very good caine list.

1) The Charger is a HUGE focus hog, you will be giving it probably 3 focus per turn. It needs one to keep that gun firing twice, and you probably are wanting to boost damage. Honestly it's just not that great a jack, I'd lose it.
2) Caine doesn't need a Lancer, the Range Amplifier on his Spellstorm Pistols is more than enough (+6" range to all spells). With his spd7 that lets him cast a 6" range spell at something 19" away when he starts his activation. Lose the lancer.

This frees up a good 150 or so points. I'd also think about losing Eiryss; the GMA is more than enough for killing unit leaders and solos; Eiryss is just sort of redundant. Plus everyone takes that damned elf! You can now get yourself some trenchers, or some long gunners. Keeping the ironclad is not a bad idea; but remember you are using it defensively - it gives Caine somewhere safe to Flash behind and it also provides you with a bit of a melee threat for anything that gets close. Just don't let Caine get too close to it himself; a quick slam will then end your game.

Caine doesn't run Warjacks well honestly; it can be done but he's more effective hogging his focus. You'll be spending 2 focus to get extra Spellstorm attacks just about every turn; and probably 1 on an upkeep (sniping Caine himself can be pretty awesome; it's also a good spell to lay on the ATGMs.

Thanks for the advice all.  This is my first time using Caine and like most of my forces I take the Jacks because that is what everyone I play does.

I am going to drop the Ironclad and add a full unit of Long gunners.  Caine does have Snipe so i can do that with them and just up keep it.

As far as the charger and lancer, I think that is 151 points between them.  Would need a unit that would do some damage if they got close.

I have Sword Knights, Storm Guard, and Storm blades.  Not sure of points off the top of my head.

Never run an all infantry force before.  I am sure the gun mages and GM Capt Adept will work together on one side of caine.

I have the Defender Jack and just love it but not one I would use with Caine.  I was thinking light jacks for him, but you all have given me something to think about.

Sword Knights, Stormguard, and Storm Blades are all good choices for Caine. Sword Knights combined with a Centurian or Ironclad offer you a pretty nasty melee punch for anything that gets through your lines. What's more, you can just Jack Marshall the warjack and Caine never needs to worry about it (just make sure your Marhall doesn't get shot).

Snipe is good for LGs, it gives their gun a 20 inch shot. But don't discount sniping other stuff - with snipe Eiryss becomes a real nuisance, the GMCA becomes god at killing unit leaders (with a 24" far shot and 6" move he can hit something 30" away). Even Stormblades; snipe makes their ranged attack suddenly very formidable.

I'm currently playing all infantry Caine, the latest revision of my list looks like this:

Alexia
Piper

If you're taking an infantry heavy army I'd really suggest Alexia and the Piper. Piper just works great for infantry, and Alexia allows you to create the ultimate tarpit of doom. Plus her Thrall Warriors are all seperate models (they're solos) for taking objectives and the like.

Honestly Alexia is probably mandatory for anyone who has her as an option. At 52 points she is simply too good to pass up. Yeah she's expensive but she's frickin' amazing for it.

Actually Malfred, I don't have her and the crew because the store I play at keeps running out of her. The Cryx players lover her. I thiink it has been a month since they got a shipment of stuff for WM.

As far as the Caine list I am still re-working it.

Yes it is sarcasm. But the thing about not having her at the store is true. I know two players who are building a 20 figure risen force for her.

I will look for her and the crew after I see what Superiority has for me.
