I was just wondering if anyone uses any Old Glory 15mm Command Decision miniatures for Flames of War.  Do they look good next to the Battlefront miniatures?  I'm specifically interested in the Afrika Korps models, but any input on Old Glory WWII 15mm in general is welcome.

I was just thinking, for the price, it might be good to get a couple packs to mix in with my Battlefront miniatures.  I'm all about different poses.

So yeah, do they look good in general, and next to BF stuff?

Thanks,
Hordini

From what I've read in other places they work fine and look good. Just not mixed on the same stand (perhaps even platoon) as FOW minis. The scale is not exactly the same so it may look a little odd mixed together. But if you keep them a little seperated then any differences would not be as apparent.

The vehicles tend to be smaller and look more compact than the Battlefront versions, Battlefront's sit taller.

The OG figures are bit more skinnier than the BF ones.  I have both OG and BF for my Soviets.  The OG Tanks are about the same size as BF ones, but probably a tiny bit smaller.

I really don't see any problem mixing both.  I have 2 Inf Companies of OG and 2 Inf Companies of BF Soviet infantry.  I do like the BF poses more, but you can't beat OG at 50 figs per bag.

I bought a US para comandy when they were doing their sale.  I love the figs and they painted up great.  The detail was on par with BF.  the only thing I will mention is they use a metal mixture that is less rigid that battle front, so it bends easier.

All in all I think they look great!

Chaosdwarf - How do the minis stack up beside BF's minis (I'm primarily talking about infantry.)

Would it look good to mix OG and BF minis on bases (i.e. have an Old Glory prone MG gunner and partner and a couple Battlefront riflemen?)

How about in platoons, i.e. have a few teams of BF infantry, and a few teams of OG infantry in the same platoon?

Would both forms of mixing look good?  I would prefer to mix on individual teams to get some more variation on poses.

The BF guys are a little "beefier" than the OG guys, but honestly at that scale it is hard to tell.  I have some italians and they are mixed on the stadn and look fine....
