Yeah...the Linebreaker squadron is the three Vindicators, right? With a price tag of $120 for three means that either there's no savings and they cost $40 each, or if there is a savings, then they cost at least $45 or $50, and I'd guess $50.

That's really expensive for a tank based on a Rhino chasis.

According to GW US online vindicators are $45 each so the box saves you $15.

There doesn't appear to be much consistancy on the price saving you get in these sets

Oh yeah, GW's pricing suddenly makes sense now! I bet that right after they pay the molds off they'll lower the prices!

There are some good deals in there though. I really hate the look of the landraider terminus, but for $50 to get the extra sprues, its totally worth it. I will just build a regular land raider and use the bits for other various conversions.

Backpack has the book (50$), Dice (8$), and Templates (22$). So the backpack is costing you 15$, which is a pretty good deal. The guys in US trade sales have been fighting for a bigger allotment of these, since they know it's going to sell like cold beer at a baseball game. The fantasy version was in high demand at independents and limited originally to about 1 per shop, and a few more weeks later. Nice to see them fighting to get more for the independent accounts.

It will still be pretty limited though, so do your LGS a favor and if you want it, get an order in with them early, so they can lock in the order with GW. I've already had 20 requests for it at my shop.

As HBMC or Hellfury implied in another thread about the backpack, the ordinary backpack is probably roomier and more fashionable.

So are Dakkaites actually pleased with a backpack with an empire eagle on it? Okay...

Can anyone say what these prices will be in pound or euro? The direct exchange rates are more than unreliable.

Is this just the 100 fighting men, or do you also get a Commander and Retinue with it? What about Rhinos or Razorbacks? Any special figures like a Techmarine or Librarian?

It's 100 SM's, 8 rhinos and 1 razorback. Not sure if the men are just 10 tac boxes but that's the way it sounds.

it's 60 Tactical, 20 Devastator and 20 Assault. I believe there is also a command retinue of 6 guys (including leader) to put in the Razorback..

Hi Blackheart - do you have a link for these contents? I've been using the pre-order page on minis-by-post (someone kindly posted that for me on another thread) that just says 100SM's, if there's a more detailed breakdown somewhere I'd love to take a look.

the contents are slightly different. Also a local store here in Maryland is taking pre-orders and the owner has said that it's 60/20/20 + Command squad.

Note: in all previous Space Marine fluff the first 6 companies of Codex adherent chapters has been 6 Tactical, 2 dev, 2 assault. there's no real reason for them to change that now.

I've seen it elsewhere, but I can't find it. I could have sworn it was already posted here, bnut I can't find it now.

So the Baneblade is $95 (~£49), yet it is selling in the UK for £60. Looks like a lot of other deals there will be more expensive in the UK. Why are we getting shafted? This is bad, maybe the policy is to continue screwing Europe whilst easing up on the US market (where they're really struggling atm). Even though I don't buy much GW stuff these days I'll order from US 'net retailers from now on if I can get the merest hint of a saving, on principle.

The Company is 106 marines with all vehicles. The backpack is designed to fit an entire carrying case with room for rulebook and codex with further pockets for dice cases and a tape measure. Also, the eagle is attached by velcro and also comes with a chaos star to switch out.

All this info comes from LAGD.

Which GW site are you looking at? I don't see the Battle Company offer shown anywhere.

It's on the UK site (second last image, in between the Necron Monolith box and the Tau tank box).

It's also on the German site. Haven't checked the others.
