Vehicles of the WH40K Universe

Ok, so I've been thinking.....Rhino APC, Leman Russ, Land Raiders, Standard Template Constructs......yadda yadda yadda!

If I'm an Imperial citizen I can't go blundering around Downtown Hive Primus in a Landraider with two fitted Playstations and a kiddie seat, can I?

So my question dear DakkaDakka Generals is of a creative nature, what do the home boys drive? If I'm doing a Hive Ganger group, or a PDF company, or even trying to create a Rouge Trader entourage what kinda vehicles should I be looking at? Obviously GW doesn't cater for this area, so it leaves a great void of creative Chaos to go wild in!! Personally I like the idea of the Wheel, it was good enough for Fred Flintstone it will work for a local PDF as well!

So any suggestions? WWII German armoured car anyone?

Also, whats the best way for working out armour stats and weapon rules? How many passengers? etc....

Ideas, people, ideas!

In the 40k fiction this really depends entirely on the society/planet Every planet (and probably every city on a planet) would have its own unique style of basic car/trolly etc.

I really think the world is your oyster here.
GW's own kits are obviously slightly under scale compared to the figures. 1/48 scale vehicles match the figures fairly well. 1/35 scale are good for oversize vehicles.
