your first 2 units will be in close combat very quickly, so the shootas only take away attacks, and they'll be in 12'' range for a few shots
besides, my shootas have mostly ended up with a crapload of dice rolling for little effect...


drop gaz and 1 unit of stormboyz and add at least one unit of 15 lootas... they are very useful vs light tanks, skimmers, dreads and infantry... you want to put them in cover if possible, but my opponents haven't been able to even think of targeting them until mid to late in the game... two units of 15 lootas can give your opponent some butterflies as you set them up

a Shock Attack Gun has worked for me more than the KFF did anything... usually ends up seriously hurting 1 or 2 units before something stupid happens... and often, that adds some humor and flavor to the game
in 2 different games, it removed a whole unit of necrons with one shot... (no we'll be back... priceless)

Tankbustas were a waste of time in the 4 games I used them... a few rokkits in my boyz and PK attacks have done more in my games so far...

I have recently tried Flash Gitz, after reading some people talk about their good points... I ran them with assault 2, strength 6
9 gitz with a painboy... they attracted a lot of attention... stood up to it, and put some pain to my opponent... they're really expensive, but are tough, resilient, have decent shooting and can bring da pain when it come down to it
