Another one that came up in our game: Doom diver hits and does his d6 strength whatever hits. There was some confusion about the mention that the doom diver catapult functions exactly like a stone thrower. Do they cause d6 wounds like a stone thrower? Or does their own damage mechanic override this?

This didn't effect our game verymuch as the warmachine that it did manage to wound was engaged by wolfriders the rest of the game, but better to find out how everyone else plays it.

Meph

The paragraph directly preceding the one you quoted states: "After the player has attempted to rally any units that are fleeing, it is time to make any compulsory moves that the rules require."

Waaagh, as Mauleed pointed out, occurs before this. It is a rule in an Army Book directly overriding one in the Main Rule Book if you want to look at it that way, though one could argue Waaagh is not a compulsory movement because you have the option of when to call said Waaagh, and again we would find ourselves wading in a sea of battling semantics.

but it also says that the most common type of compulsory movment is fleeing. now I think we are all agreed, fleeing is compulsory. I can think of many times you flee at different times other than the compulsory move phase, and the text points out magic. I can't think of a single spell that says, "move this unit, but wait for the compulsory move phase." as a general rule, the compulsory moves are done BEFORE any other movment, but after you have attempted to rally your troops, but as with all things in the game, this somtimes happens out of order. I don't know if Waaagh is compulsory or not, but there are times you do compulsory movment out of order.
