I recently played against a new dwarf player and he had a pretty awesome BSB build, something like:

Thane - BSB, strollas, +1 CR within 12", 5+ rerollable ward

Is that legal? As in, dwarf BSB heroes can take banner runes as well as armor runes? And what are the points like on that build?

Also- the ward save is not re-rerollable on the runic standard.

I'll bring it up with him when I see him tomorrow, but who knows he might be on the level and I just don't know his army. For a guy who's played fantasy for 1 month he's really gotten the hang of it.

He's almost legal;
A BSB with the MR of Stromni Redbeard (+1 CR), Stollas and rune of Guarding (5+ ward save). That's one heck of a BSB though, 205 points total. No room for another rune, and as an aside, I can't find any runes that allow rerolling ward saves.
