				<title>5th Edition Codices</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Has anyone heard any rumors about which <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(3);'>40K</span> codices are gonna get revised for 5th edition first?  I figure Space Marines and Orks are a sure thing, but I was wondering about the other armies, specifically the Necron and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span>.  Any thoughts? ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I would be VERY pissed indeed if the Ork codex wasn't written with 5th edition in mind.  It's come out pretty much just after they've finished their revisions for 5th edition (sure, they may not have finished the play testing ... but I'm certain the "bones" of 5th edition were finalised months ago).<br /> <br /> I imagine that the Ork codex will require a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(36);'>FAQ</span> to address the minor things that they changed while playtesting 5th edition (at least I HOPE they playtested it ... thoroughly).]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ <br /> It's pretty darn clear the Ork codex is written for 5th edition. There are many clues, here are just a few:<br /> <br /> <br /> 1) Grots weren't given a screening rule since it is a basic rule in 5th.<br /> <br /> 2) The Trukk ramshackle rule doesn't incorporate entanglement since that rule is gone in 5th edition.<br /> <br /> 3) Ghazghkull's special rules reference getting a bonus attack when charging when in 4th models with slow & purposeful don't get that bonus. They do in 5th so that reference makes sense.<br /> <br /> ]]></description>

I've wanted to dust my old wolf army off for a very long time now.  I hope they do <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(27);'>DE</span> soon.  It's kinda sad that they just left them in the dirt because not many people play them anymore. 				<description><![CDATA[ Actually, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(27);'>DE</span> have been heavily rumored as on the list for some time.  Necrons get an occasional bite, but <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(27);'>DE</span> get mentioned a lot more.<br /> <br /> Per Dosadi at warseer, we're looking at <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(119);'>SM</span>, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(124);'>SW</span> in January (with a Spearhead for Christmas [fingers crossed]), and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(27);'>DE</span> in the Spring.<br /> <br /> That would allow for Planetstrike in the summer, and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> (or Necrons) in the fall.<br /> <br /> Time will tell.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I've only really heard a few mentions for Necrons, and those mostly just consist of changing We'll Be Back into Feel No Pain, and changing Gause into Rending, and getting rid of Phase Out. I wonder if we won't simply see these changes in the "<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(36);'>FAQ</span>" that converts the old codexes to work in 5th.<br /> <br /> Don't get me wrong, I'd love a new Codex that gave more options and what have you for Necrons. The Scorpion Lord option I heard rumored once would be cool too.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Don't you guys remember...the codex release is driven by how soon they can release new models.  <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(50);'>GW</span>'s been on a 3-4 releases/year for while now.  One-two of those are "full" releases, like the Ork or Eldar codexes, where they release new models for lots of units, etc.  The other are the "micro" releases like Tau, where they only add a few new models to the lineup.  <br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(119);'>SM</span> than <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(124);'>SW</span> makes plenty of sense from that perspective.  ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I'm with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(194);'>PP</span>, but only assuming you already have enough models to start playing pretty much instantly. If that's the case, then you're bound to get enough satisfaction from the purchase in the (possibly very many) months before a new <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> dex. If you're starting from scratch, it may well be the case that you finish your army just as the new dex comes and ruins who knows how many of your existing units. That's no fun for anyone. In either case, I'd avoid buying anything remotely off-beat for now. Joe Guardsmen will still be around in any case, but who knows what will happen to ratlings, conscripts etc.<br /> <br /> Edit: I wish I got a dollar for every time I said "case" in the last paragraph.
