1850 daemon nurgle/khorne list

rtt Saturday and need some feedback on my first attempt at daemons. I plan to lose but have fun doing it

Bloodthirster
blessing 255

Skulltaker
Juggy 175

Herald of Nurgle
Breath 90
(don't have an epi model and not proxying)

10 bloodletters 160
10 bloodletters 160
7 plaguebearers 105

7 plaguebearers
icon 130

4 nurglings
3 nurglings 91 total

8 fleshhounds
fury of khorne 130

8 fleshhounds
fury 130

daemonprince
flight, khorne, might, ironhide 205

daemonprince
nurgle, flight, noxious, ironhide 210

total I think is 1841. first wave I'm thinking is the bloodletters, plaguebearers and fleshhounds (khornedogs for old timers). second wave is the nurglings, 2 dps and the thirster

Ok, I'm seeing some great melee power mixed with some good toughness. Virtually no ranged power, but if you have your Nurgle daemons in front you should be able to survive a barrage of bolt fire...

1850 daemon nurgle/khorne list

not as lot of ranged in this codex in general I think. besides, why trade fire with someone when you only have a 5+ save? I think the khornedogs are essential to this list for their speed in tying up major shooty armies. I also see major problems with vehicles like tau FoF. I'm sure it will eat me alive. But we'll see.

Re:1850 daemon nurgle/khorne list

recap on performance at the RTT. Well we didnt have the RTT as only 6 people showed but I got in a game against orks anyway. What I found out was khorne can dish it out big time but dies like a chump. Nurgle can take a pounding all day but it takes all day to kill someone. I switched out a soul grinder for one DP and he did ok but the DPs were awesome. I can see why they are heavy support - wrecking balls IMO. and nurgles is insane - forget unholy might, go noxious and would on a 2+ with a monsterous creature. Run them in pairs and wipe squads. The wonderful Bloodthirster is all he is cracked up to be. He eats things but can be shot to death (or in my case, he got ran over by a deathroller)

This has led me to plan for an Epidemious army based largely on nurglings! These mobs can ruin someone's day. I had an entire squad of nobs fighting 4 nurgling bases for like 6 assault phases until I got other guys over there to kill them. It was funny! 5+ save, 4+ we don't care, 3 wounds and no instant kill - they rock at 13 points. (blasts suck, lost 2 bases to one battle cannon) will post another list when I get it but the minimum is going to be 4 squads of 6 bases and 1 BIG squads of plaguebearers to keep Epi alive. Throw out the big stuff with breath to kill lots of models quickly and the nurglings start rampaging (2+ to wound, 3+ dont cares and power weapons at best. insane)
