				<title>Competitive Khorne Themed Chaos: Can it be Done?</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ <br /> Last night I was painting up some terrain to replace what was destroyed in moving to my new house. Sitting at my desk, I couldn’t help but notice my Blood Thirster, his fellow berserkers and my converted Khorne <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(262);'>DP</span>.  All lovingly painted and just sitting there. Starring at me.  Longing for those days when we used to tear apart eldar and Ultramarines. I turn to the new <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSM</span> codex and try to ignore them.  But they just keep starring at me with those sad eyes…<br /> <br /> So that got me thinking. Is it possible to put together a decent 1500-1750 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSM</span> list using a mixture of Khorne and vanilla chaos? I’m not looking to win <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(48);'>GT</span>’s, just have reasonable chance with all comers in friendly games.<br /> <br /> Here’s my idea:<br /> <br /> Winged <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(262);'>DP</span> with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(99);'>MoK</span>, <br /> <br /> 2 Berserker units in rhinos<br /> <br /> 2 vanilla <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSM</span> units<br /> <br /> 1 Unit of Raptors<br /> <br /> 2 Obliterators<br /> <br /> Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.  I know Khorne isn’t the best option but I just can’t stand the sight of my Berserkers collecting dust.<br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Is there really much point in the Raptors with the Berzerkers being close combat maniacs? Could be worth swapping them for more anti tank, maybe a pred-or even Defiler seeing as it can do close combat if the need arises. Thats my advice for the time being anyway. I'll get back to it when I've had another look through my codex]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Give the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(262);'>DP</span> warptime it is better than one extra attack.  That makes him hit and wound like he worships the blood god.<br /> <br /> To keep with the theme of khorne I think having every unit but your anti tank getting into <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(58);'>hth</span> is a good idea.  It usually puts the pressure on most armies when you are in their deployment zone on your turn 2.  <br /> <br /> To use yoru start here is what I would do:<br /> <br /> For 1500<br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(262);'>DP</span> with wings and warptime<br /> 2 units of 8 zwerkers with champ and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(486);'>PW</span> in rhinos <br /> 1 unit of 8 raptors, champ with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(105);'>PF</span>, 2 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(563);'>MG</span><br /> 2 units of 8 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSM</span>, champ with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(105);'>PF</span>, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(563);'>MG</span>, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(75);'>IoCG</span>, in Rhinos<br /> 3 oblits(as individual heavy support choices)<br /> <br /> For 1750 add another winged <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(262);'>DP</span>(who better than khorne to have the big guys!)  or a Jump pack, lightning claw lord to ride with the raptors.  use left over points to beef the raptors up to 10 or 12.<br /> <br /> If you go first this gives you four units in rhinos that pile in and go 12" and smoke, plus a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(262);'>dp</span> and raptors that go 12" with them.  On Turn two at least 2, and usually 3 of yoru squads will be able to operate ... they deploy 2" move 6" and charge 6" (you are now in your enemy's deployment zone).  In fifth the lack of entaglement means they can all potentially participate.<br /> <br /> If you go second, you use your rhinos as a screening wall and cover to advancewith.   Turn 2 The zerkers and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>csm</span> advance from cover to cover picking off the enemies advance elements as it comes to them, while your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(262);'>DP</span> and raptors reach out and touch the most threatening of yoru enemys troops or the easiest to kill and start walking the line troops.<br /> <br /> Good luck,<br /> <br /> Meph<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Agreed, their speed means you should have them accompany the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(262);'>DP</span>, don't Deep strike him either, if it can be helped. With wings he can get where you want him qiuckly. With your army try attacking with Bezerkers in the middle using the Rhinos after disembarking to sheild you from small arms fire and try flanking with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(262);'>DP</span> and raptors.<br /> <br /> The only problem i can see with it though is the two Vanilla marines are going to be a weak link in the army. Not moving as fast as everything else and not having much long range fire means that whilst the Bezerkers are in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(58);'>HtH</span> they won't be doing much, except maybe being picked off by enemy Hvy weapons. make sure the raptors have an icon of some form to help make Oblterator Deep striking more acurate]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I have seen Knorne themed <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSM</span> do very very well, especially as a demon-bomb army.<br /> <br /> A friend of mine runs this and he won our local tourney last time around.<br /> <br /> he runs 2dps or a lord and a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(262);'>dp</span>.<br /> 1 full squads of zerkers in a rhino<br /> 1 full squad of marines with mark of khorne<br /> 1 greater demon <br /> 4-5 squads of lesser demons.<br /> <br /> he is very successful with this list, even in 5th, as he charges with the zerkers, and tarpits any units that could countercharge/rapid fire the charging zerker unit.<br /> <br /> this list even wades though 30 man ork mobs with relative ease.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Why not just go all out crazy with something like 3 land raiders full of khorne berzerkers and two daemon princes.<br /> <br /> Land Raiders are tough as nails in 5th but maybe not if you have to get them in close. 				<description><![CDATA[ Thing about Khorne-themed you can take Terminators and Vehicles (God of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(410);'>WAR</span>!), and once you have those you can justify taking Obliterators too, really.  Just make them regal looking with lots of skullz and brass.<br /> <br /> Their <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> is solid and Berzerkers are not _that bad_.  A rhino can survive one turn after it pops smoke.  If I ever do it I am going to combine 20 with Lash, but that is not what you are looking at.<br /> <br /> Their <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> is first rate, and as far as <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> is concerned if there is something else you would rather take you can even counts-as.  So say a Tzeentch lord with a shooty demon weapon and a steed you can model as a Khorne lord with Kai Gun and Jump Pack.  Or a whatever.<br /> <br /> And you can always take <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSM</span>, Bikes, Raptors and Chosen, of course.  Renegadez!]]></description>
