Doing yellow?

With the washes, foundations, etc out now, there's gotta be a quick and easy way to do yellow now. I'm doing the heads on my Blood Angel assault marines. They are primed white right now. Whats the best way to get a good looking bright yellow finish with some depth? I've always sorta struggled with yellow so any help would be appreciated.

Example of what I'm trying to achieve:

Groz,

Thanks for the reply. I've had some real problems when washing yellow. I'm guessing I can't just slap the wash on, that I'll have to actually "paint" it into the recesses?

The way I did it pre-foundation is as follows.
Prime Black
Paint everything bestial brown or snakebite leather (doesn't really mater)
a few coats of golden yellow
chestnut ink
a few more coats of golden yellow
highlight with sunburst yellow
highlight with bleached bone sunburst mix
an extremely light drybrush of bleached bone

Example

now I would use the foundation yellow instead of the multiple coats of golden yellow and the brown basecoat.

Doing yellow?

I got my yellow by just using several layers of sunburst yellow. For my heads I did a layer or two of yellow followed by an inking of chestnut or black ink. I then went and added another layer of yellow, but I put it on a bit thick. I was really pleased with the results.

Re:Doing yellow?

the way i got yellow for my tyranids (pre washes) was using the brown foundation, followed by painting really thin layers of vomit brown, golden yellow, sunburst yellow, and finally bad moon yellow (extreme highlights) to build up. Used flesh wash for the dark bits. It makes this really deep autumn-y and dirty yellow. It's just a lot of painting for a horde army.

Doing yellow?

Suggestions/steps with no pics are a step short of useless, people. Telling somebody your steps and then saying, "This creates a very blahblahblah finish yellow" with no pics for reference doesn't really help. What looks one way to you most often looks completely different to the next person.

This is why there are so many "Master Painters" on ebay. They all think they look "masterful," but we really know the deal...

Dantheangry's and lifeafter's yellows are STRIKINGLY different from one another. Were I the OP, I would see that Dantheangry's yellow suits my aesthetic tastes more and would be the yellow of the two that I would shoot for, using his suggested method. Would the two of them have not posted pics, I would have had no idea what look their methods would produce despite any claims they would make.

Morale: Suggestions WITH pics, people...

Ghidorah

Doing yellow?

I'm no amazing painter, and I never do too many steps, but the vehicles and suits in my Tau army are INCREDIBLY bright yellow.

http://www.dakkadakka.com/wiki/en/Ian%27s%20Tau%20Army

I used BURNTLACK graphic spray - Lemon Yellow over a Skull White primer. This gives a very pale, lemony yellow, but then a quick wash of Yellow Ink darkened it suitably. I know the Inks have been discontinued but the Yellow Wash should have the same effect...
