I'd really like to see what every army can do but the only one I can offer much insight into is Chaos Space Marines. I have three that feel almost unbeatable in a 500 point type game described above (I pick that kind of restrictions because it goes down at my FLGS all the time).

Sorc, MoS, Lash 125
5x CSM 75
5x CSM 75
3x Oblits 225
CSM take objectives, Sorc joins Oblits and kills

DP, Wings, MoS, Lash 155
DP, Wings, MoS, Lash 155
6x CSM flamer 95

Lash into flamer templates then assault

More seriously though. I don't know very much about DE, would they have an easy time getting past a 4++ rerollable save on my tanks? This list will be able to kill dreads, Monstrous creatures and has enough troops for taking objectives. The dracon provides some assault but should not generaly be needed...
