Here Goes!!!

Company Captain: Thunderhammer, Jump Pack, (all the other goods). 150pts.
Chaplain: Powerfist. 125pts.

Dreadnought: Multimelta, Extra Armor. 160pts.

Assault Marines: x10, Powerfist, Combat Shield. 285pts.
Assault Marines: x10, Powerfist, Combat Shield. 285pts.
Tactical Squad: x10, Powerfist, Meltagun, Lascannon. 245pts.

Predator: Twin Las, Las Sponsons, Extra Armor. 180pts.
Predator: Twin Las, Las Sponsons, Extra Armor. 180pts.
Baal Predator: Twin Assault Cannon, Hvy Bolter Sponsons, Extra Armor. 140pts.

Total 1750pts! BUT can it be better!??!?! PROBABLY! that's where all you come in! Im kind of ashamed that I only end up with 3 Death Company marines, I could maybe drop a Heavy choice to get more Assault marines, and then another Death Co. marine, I could also drop it to include more Death Company marines at any rate....

First Blood Angel list since the 3rd ed. Codex. Any help would be awesome...

Thanks!
t-

I think you've got too much shooty and too much las stuff. It would be a gerat army against a guy with lots of tanks. But against anything with any kind of numbers you would be up a certain creek without a paddle. your Baal predator kinda helps but I would ditch 1 las predator, maybe the dreadnought. and get yourself more infantry, maybe jumpers, maybe not but you need more troops.
Re:1750pts Blood Angels! Critique Please!

Stelek will tell you that you need to totally reconfigure your list and either make it all mech or all jumppack.

That is/will be a decent reccommendation, but first I will point out a few things you might have missed, just from the codex itself.

Company Captain: Thunderhammer, Jump Pack, (all the other goods). 150pts.
Chaplain: Powerfist. 125pts.

If you want characters with PF, then yeah, these two are ok. Their special character bretheren are better though. Lemartes (spelt?) is probably a no brainer, but Dante at an extra 70odd points (you buy the banner upgrade) is a closer call. Personally, I would either get a second chaplin or get Dante over the commander you currently have.

Dreadnought: Multimelta, Extra Armor. 160pts.

Nothing dreadfuly wrong with this (pun intended).......... if you put it in a drop pod. As it stands, the multimelta on it is worthless. Also, I think the 3pts for smoke is worth it.

Assault Marines: x10, Powerfist, Combat Shield. 285pts.
Assault Marines: x10, Powerfist, Combat Shield. 285pts.

I'm pretty sure that you will find that combat sheilds are worthless. The Inv. save just isn't worth it, even with torrent of fire. Someone may give you a different opinion though.......

Tactical Squad: x10, Powerfist, Meltagun, Lascannon. 245pts.

Here is the all mech or all jump problem. I don't have an issue with a few tac squads mixed with assault squads, but they have to have rhinos. This gives you a 50pt moving piece of cover for those assault troops. If you buy them a rhino, I dunno if you combat squad and leave the heavy weapon behind, drop the heavy weapon, or just tag the heavy weapon along as a 'just in case' sort of thing.

Predator: Twin Las, Las Sponsons, Extra Armor. 180pts.
Predator: Twin Las, Las Sponsons, Extra Armor. 180pts.
Baal Predator: Twin Assault Cannon, Hvy Bolter Sponsons, Extra Armor. 140pts.

Solid, although kitted out preds are often seen as expensive for what they do.

With the three heavy support tanks it looks like a primarily mech heavy army would be better.
I don't have time to fully figure out points costs and such, but I would.....
1) Drop the Dread
2) Drop the Captain
3) Drop the Chaplin
4) Get Lemartes.
5) Get a rhino for my tac squad.
6) Get another tac squad in rhino

This will put you over on points. Around 50ish.
Dunno exactly what you do about that.

On a side note, a cheap tankhunting squad of Vet. Ass. Marines would improve your DC numbers. You should probably try and fit a Vet. Ass. Squad of some description in there. They are the most customisable squad around, and very cool with 4 attacks on the charge each (multipule mobile power weapon squads win games).
As it stands though, if you keep the main battle tanks, you should probably forgo such units.

This isn't what I would run, but I have tried to offer some insights without totally reworking your list.
Lets see what others have to say, their are a few members who run mech BA who could give greater feedback.
(Also, you might wanna wait til the new C:SM is released...)

Saturating the enemy with lots of AAA will see the AAA weapons he has fail in their bit to stop you. If you mix your force and have AAA and BBB type units, then all of your dozen eggs are going to get broken.

Sticking with the sayings, a long term members (HMBC?) sig 5 years ago was something like

In 40k, everything counts...... in large amounts.

It still (and always will) rings true today.

but he still is lacking some anti-infantry (if i've overlooked something sorry)

an anti infantry army would die even with only the baal and regular predator.
Triple las preds pretty muck suck now, drop em. The reason is that mobile firepower is where it's at. Baals, with the chance to become a fast vehicle, are much better choices if you insist on taking tanks.

The dreadnought in its current config is pretty bad and will either get popped or completely ignored due to its ineffectiveness.

The tac squad mixed with the assault squads isn't bad, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. It's the squad that can hold your home objective in Capture and Control, or split it into combat squads for Seize Ground. The purchased Rhino is nice for mobile cover, but not "required".

The chaplain with a powerfist...meh. Where's the jump pack?

The captain, whats he doing? Do you really need Rites of Battle for 3 squads? Each assault squad has a fist in it already.

IMHO, dump the captain and dread and pick up a veteran assault squad. Double fist, double melta and go tank or MC hunting with em.
