Any help or sugestions would be much appreciated and valued. i am sitting at 1832 total points and thinking of giving my devistators tank hunters or something, but not sure yet. Overall I am going for a shooting army but yet isnt as vunerable in melee thats why the assault squads are there to stop incomming units or at least hold them for a turn or two. this list is unplaytested but will be in the next day or two. I am planing on a tornament this weekend and hoping for a decent attempt this time. A Land Raider is the wiser choice if you will only have one vehicle in the list.

Get jump packs on those characters ASAP.

One of those 10-man ML tac squads can be geared for close combat. Get a vet w/ pf and a meltagun or flamer in there.
