Because I had to buy a birthday gift for my nephew, I rediscovered the Warhammer 40K world. (I bought a Tau Hammerhead, he is building a Tau army.)

I got interested and did some searching on the internet about 40K vehicles and discovered the Baneblade. I'm very excited about this tank, and the Imperial Guard in general. The Cadian camoflage colors somehow are just perfect. I always liked it.
I dont have patience or skills enough to build a model and then paint/weather it. The last model I did was 16 years ago, at this time people still are trying to figure out what this model is, the 100 layers of paint make it difficult...

So why am I here!
I really really like the 40K universe, the artwork, the tanks, it's what I think of when I think about war. I somehow do have patience enough to create 3D models on the computer. Till recently prototyping these models out of plastic was very expensive, but it seems to have dropped. I want to experiment with this, and it seems a Warhammer vehicle would be a good way to try it out. If I understand correctly I could create a vehicle that is twice the size of the Baneblade. I know that it would not be useable for game purposes, but it would make a nice model for display. I would like to have some thoughts about this, perhaps it's not such a good idea and then it would be a waste of time and effort.

Also, there´s the Capitol Imperialis and such things.

I found the site yesterday, wonderful to look at indeed! I spent 2 hours looking at all the stuff! It really inspired me to do my own attempt.
I'm not sure yet what direction I should go, I need a reason to justify it's size, perhaps by adding a very heavy weapon. I looked it up, sounds very scary! It might be somewhat too big for what I have in mind. I could not find dimensions for this cannon, but it seems the barrel of a Novacannon is 50 meters across. Compared to that, I will be working on a TINY vehicle.
I still like the idea of a railgun with a large range used as an oversized sniper rifle for bigger targets. Perhaps I could include a landingplatform for a landspeeder on it's back. It could function as some kind of scout/designator.

A couple of years ago I did create a 3D model that was kind of a mixture between Warhammer and reality, however that was more to get to know the program, the design was very high and shallow for Warhammer standards. (Because of it's height it was a good sniper tower though.)

I thought it would be a good idea to share this, to show that I am serious about my next attempt. I hope it will be entirely in Warhammer style and rapid prototyping compatible. (that's the hard part.)

Thanks! A Titan might be kind of problematic as it will be my first attempt to 3D print, and with the legs and all, it could get pretty complicated. You did a great job yourself on these!
I will stick to a tank or wheeled model for now.
